USER RATING Second and final vacation with Majestic Mountain By John, 6/25/12
We just returned from a week in Majestic Splendor and will not book again with MMV. The property was presented as a luxury property and is rented at rates in accordance, and the property has simply not been maintained. Upon arrival, all 5 toilets and the kitchen sink stopped functioning (Maintenance resolved the following day). Several lights were out, blinds broken, pieces floating in the Jacuzzi, broken gaming equipment and little to no dishware for a house designed to support 12+ people. The grill had rusted out and was unusable; Mgmt was notified and we were assured this would be resolved the next day. It was not. Each day for 4 days I called to follow up and the issue was finally resolved after speaking to multiple managers who repeatedly blamed others and promised resolution only to fail in delivering. On Wednesday, the trash became full so I called and was told to place on the curb for pickup. I did so, but again, nothing happened. I again called daily and was promised immediate resolution, only to return to a growing pile of disgusting trash in front of the house. I called and e-mailed the general manager and only received a call from an assistant 3 days later when I explained that I would be posting my experience. All managers including the General Managers were confrontational and only blamed other managers or departments for lack of resolution. Each time they actually resolved an issue, I was made to feel as though they were doing me a favor. I had to call them daily to follow up on issues that should have never progressed, and I am left with the impression that this is standard practice for this organization. I have never experienced this complete lack of customer service from any organization. I love the area and will return, but will never again utilize Majestic Mountain Vacations or any affiliates. There are many excellent management companies in the area, and I highly recommend that you use any other than MMV.
