Memorial Park
Cedar Avenue,
Helena,
Montana 59601
My family enjoys visiting Memorial Park on a sunny summer afternoon. Live music plays under the bandshell and the pool is heated, fun and affordable. The play area is state of the art and fun for all ages. There are lots of picnic tables as well as big, grassy areas for picnics. Invite some friends and make a day of it!

Spring Meadow Lake

"Perfect Size for families"
This little lake is the perfect place to go on a sunny summer afternoon. The lake is small with lots of room for kids to run and play. Parking availble as well as restrooms. Kids can swim or bring along beach toys and a lunch. Be sure to watch for the annual cardboard boat race! Better yet, build a boat and participate!

A hike up mount Helena is a great way to spend a sunny afternoon. Parking available at the bottom as well as outhouses. With a wide variety of trails, the hike ranges from novice to difficult. Beautiful scenery and wildlife along the way. The top is a sight to behold with a wonderful view of the Helena area. Totally worth the challenge!

Chicago Trolley and Double Decker Company
615 W. 41st Street,
Chicago,
Illinois 60609
The top deck of the double deck bus is the best way to see Chicago. My children had so much fun riding in the open air. The tour allows you to hop on and hop off at all of the main sights downtown. You don't have to worry about parking or cabs! Buy your tickets in advance with an online discount!

Will County Fair
710 S. West St.,
Peotone,
Illinois 60468
The Will County Fair is one of our favorite summer traditions. Parking is FREE and admission is reasonable. Children under 10 are free! There is a great variety of food vendors including the classic carnival/fair treats. Rides are discounted on certain days and there is something fun for everyone in the family. My 4 year old loves seeing the farm animals while my 8 year old is obsessed with the demolition derby. Can't wait to go back this summer!
