Elmwood Park Zoo
1661 Harding Boulevard,
Norristown,
Pennsylvania 19401
It's a great one day trip getaway .Also a great zoo for little ones, not to big. They also have a great playground there and places for picnics too. I think they ask a little too much for the price and it can get pretty crowded with the camps and schools who visit too. Also some of the animals and the cages they are in are pretty sad looking too especially the mountain lions.

"Great hidden spot in the poconos"
Great hidden spot in the poconos for families.Love the atmosphere.Spread out so it never seems crowded. On hot days,no problem...the zoo is all shaded in a wooded area.Great little snack bar.Activities inside the zoo-petting zoo, dinosaur bone digging etc.A great shop after your visit to get souvenirs

Holiday Inn Gaithersburg
2 Montgomery Village Ave,
Gaithersburg, Maryland
"Great place to stay and close to D.C."
Instead of dealing with D.C. traffic, stay in Gaithersburg Maryland and take the metro into D.C. This hotel is at a great location, very close to the metro, dining and shopping. The hotel has great rooms, indoor pool, spa and great dining too.Reasonable prices especially if you stay for the weekend when the prices go down.
