My family just went here this week! The boys really enjoyed looking at all the birds up close. The staff was very helpful as well. We all had a wonderful time, and followed it with a walk along the beach...just outside the sanctuaries back door. We can't wait to go back.

We go to Heritage Park (part of the cultural park) often with our kids. The really enjoy being able to explore the old houses and businesses. We often pack a lunch and enjoy an ice cold coke in a bottle from the general store (Only $1 per botttle in cash) This is a wonderful piece of history.

My boys really enjoy going on the street cars. We try to make a trip a few times year, but it seems like the most fun to us when we go during the crazy winter months. We get on at Channelside and ride to Ybor. Wander thru Ybor and then get back on and go back to Channelside and enjoy lunch. The Streetcar drivers are always friendly and the cars are very clean...it's a fun diversion from the hustle and bustle for us.

My family is actually gearing up to camp here tonight! The forts are great to explore, the camping is cool, and the beaches are pristine. If you want to visit a beautiful, historical part of Pinellas, Ft. DeSoto is IT! This is honestly one of the best destinations in FL.

We go to the Forum several times a year for hockey games. Our two older boys LOVE hockey and this place is pretty good. They always have family activities before games and even during the off season. Great place to have family fun. (Just be aware that it is does host National level sporting events, so there will be people there that may not set the best example for your children)
