Yippy I-O Candy Co
84 East Broadway,
Jackson,
Wyoming 83001
Two words: Huckleberry Fudge. SO delicious and decadent... a 1/4 lb is about $2.50, which I think is a really great deal. You can't eat the whole 1/4 lb by yourself either, it's way too sweet and rich. There is quite a large selection of fudge, but you will also see a TON of Jelly Belly flavors, tons of salt water taffy, and some yummy gummies (including my favorites, peachy-o's, sour watermelon and grapefruit slices). Delicious, and the prices are not all that bad either!

Redwood National Park
Bald Hills Road,
Orick,
California
Redwood National Park is awesome; there are lots of really great places to see Redwoods in Northern California, and this is one of them. Orick itself is sort of depressing as far as towns are concerned; it's quite small and there's not much to see. If you keep going, however, you can find Fern Canyon, which is AMAZING. Fern Canyon is where Jurassic Park 2 was partially filmed; the part with the little dinosaurs that ate the guy, and you see his blood flowing in the water (gross description, but accurate) was filmed in Fern Canyon! It's so very cool, the walls are just COVERED in ferns and you can do some really nice hikes. It's pretty much impassable in the wet months (late October - April) but nice and dry the rest of the year. I recommend going in spring or early summer to really see the ferns at their greenest. It's amazing, you won't regret it! There are also quite a lot of elk in the area, which you will see if you are lucky. You have to cross two or three small streams to get to the parking lot at the start of the hike to get to the canyon (about a half mile hike to the mouth of the canyon) so you'll need 1. a car that won't get stuck and 2. guts. The streams are usually only 6 inches deep, it's not that bad, but it can look intimidating.

Gleneden Beach
Hwy 101,
Lincoln City,
Oregon
We went to Gleneden Beach in May of 2008 with our brother- and sister-in-law. It was wonderful! We stayed at a nice condo right off the beach, and it was very lovely. Since it was early in the season, it was still pretty cool, but we didn't have to worry about a lot of people, either. There were a lot of cool places to visit nearby along the Oregon coast, including Depoe Bay. Gleneden was a great place to stay and do day trips from; we had a really awesome time. Not too far away you can find a LOT of sea lions, and Lincoln City has some fun shopping.

Ikea - Bolingbrook
750 E Boughton Rd,
Bolingbrook,
Illinois
IKEA is first and foremost a store, so it's not going to be incredibly awesome for the kiddos. However, they have enough play place areas to keep kids occupied. Not only that, but there are some really expensive stuffed animals and toys, so if you want to reward your child with a small token, it's easy to do so. The kids meals are reasonably priced, and the adult meals and yummy too. The hubs and I are big fans of the Swedish meatballs. Great for breakfast as well, super cheap eats!

Rainforest Cafe
6170 West Grand Avenue,
Gurnee,

"Fun but not the cheapest dinner"
We LOVE Rainforest cafe, but good luck getting out of their without a pretty hefty check. The food is super tasty; I recommend the coconut shrimp. Save room for the Monkey Bread, it's AHMAZING, seriously, so moist and delicioso. We loved the aquarium; it's awesome to walk through the aquarium arch and see all the neat fish. You DO walk through the gift shop, and this is where things can get expensive!! There are some very cool things that are pretty inexpensive, but the shirts and stuffed animals are pricey!
