Toll House, a Larkspur Collection Hotel
140 S Santa Cruz Ave,
Los Gatos, California
"Beautiful and in walking distance to town"
My family stays in this hotel in Los Gatos every time they come to visit. My son will stay with them from time to time. The reception that you receive when you walk in the door there is so warm and comforting. The people at the front desk are always smiling and have nice things to say and the restaurant host seems to know my families name. This place is great, and it is beautiful they did a great job with the decorating and setup of the rooms.

"Great activity for breaking up a mall trip"
My son hates shopping, he is almost 3 and really would rather be doing most anything but shopping with mom. With that being the case, the place that I try to go to do most shopping trips is the Oakridge mall, between the playground and the rides my son forgets about the torture of shopping with mom. To make it even better they have cool little car strollers you can rent to make the trip a little more tolerable.

Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose
180 Woz Way,
San Jose,
California 95110
We love this place. The most cost efficient way to visit is to get an inexpensive annual pass and take the train. Our son absolutely loves everything about this museum, from the real firetruck and ambulance to the water tables and bubble rooms. There is always something to do here and we go as often as possible. Like I said though if you take the train you get 2 really cool things for a little boy to look forward to. Definitely one of our families favorite activities.

Aquarium of the Bay San Francisco
The Embarcadero & Beach Street,
San Francisco,
California 94133
We went to this zoo with our son, 2 years old, and his 2 cousins, 1 was 7 and the other 2. The older cousin thought it was alright but not that impressed. It was a bit shocking to see how small the aquarium actually is inside. It really has a potential to be a pretty amazing exhibit considering it is right on the water, but it fell short for us.

Mystery Spot

"Pretty Cool for kids over 4"
This place is pretty cool, it was a bit over my 2 year olds head but I am sure in a couple years he would love it. However, it is very hard to find so be careful when looking up directions. The area around this location is absolutely beautiful so even if you get turned around there is gorgeous scenery to keep you happy. We will definitely be back in a couple of years.
