Breakers Water Park
8555 W. Tangerine Road,
Marana,
Arizona 85658
"Wet and Wild Family Fun!"
Breakers is Tucson's only water amusement park. They have Arizona's largest wave pool as well as a number of different types of water slides and a water area for smaller kids. They're open from May through September every year, so just in time for the weather to get really hot in Tucson! This place is fun for kids, but also for adults. I started going back in college and always had a great time. It does get crowded, but that's to be expected anywhere that offers relief from the heat in Tucson.

Titan Missile Museum
1580 W Duval Mine Road,
Sahuarita,
Arizona 85629
"Very cool and interesting!"
This is a great little day trip and a very interesting piece of history. It's better suited for slightly older kids (I would say maybe 6 and up depending on their interests). This is the only Titan II missile open to the public in the country, so it's definitely a unique experience. They offer both 1 hour and 5 hour tours depending on your needs, interests, and attention spans :)

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers
4500 North Oracle Road,
Tucson Mall,
Tucson,
Arizona 85705
"Very Family Friendly Restaurant"
Red Robin is a great restaurant choice for families with kids of any age. They have a very extensive kid's menu, offer a number of fun activities, and even host visits from their mascot Red. The staff is always friendly and very accommodating for families as they pride themselves on being a family restaurant The bathrooms are always clean and very spacious. This is definitely one of our favorite restaurants to visit. And it's part of the Tucson mall, so it's a great place to eat when you want to sit for a bit.

Tucson Mall
4500 North Oracle Road,
Tucson,
Arizona 85705
"Great mall"
Tucson Mall is a two level mall that is about average in size. They offer your typical department stores (Penney's, Dillard's, etc), a number of national chain stores, and a variety of local stores. They went through a complete remodel a couple of years ago, so the mall is clean, fresh, and well laid out. They have a very large children's play area towards the center and they often set up tables and offer free crafts during the weekends and other busy times. There are a lot of food choices and plenty of restrooms.

Mi Nidito
1813 S. 4th Avenue,
Tucson,
Arizona 85713
"Not for families, especially with little ones"
Mi Nidito is a historic Tucson restaurant offering traditional Mexican fare. It has been highlighted on many travel and food shows, so it's popular among tourists as well as locals. Because of this, you will have to wait for a table. Always. Anyone with kids knows that this stinks. They don't offer a children's menu, so if you have kids that are too small to eat tacos, then you're pretty much out of luck. The food is good, but not good enough to offset all of the setbacks. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone that has kids under the age of 5 or 6 with them.
