Lincoln Memorial
West side of The Mall,
Washington,
District of Columbia
The Lincoln Memorial is a fantastic stop to make. It's near the end of the mall so you really get a great view looking down toward the Washington Monument. There is lots of space to wander and the reflecting pool is really beautiful in front of the Memorial. It's quite something to stand on those steps and think about the history of our Country. What an awesome educational experience for kids and adults alike! The only thing my kids found hard was all the steps.

National Zoo
3001 Connecticut Avenue NW,
Washington,
District of Columbia
The National Zoo is a wonderful place to take young kids. We love going any time we are in the area - and you can't beat that it is free too! There are all kinds of animals with neat exhibits. As one reviewer mentioned, there is definitely a lot of uphill walking. Overall this is a top notch zoo and we are looking forward to going back!

The Outerbanks Area
Outer Banks,
Corolla,
North Carolina
Our family loves going to the Outer Banks area. There are all kinds of vacation homes you can choose from to rent. The atmosphere is just full of rest and relaxation! It's a fun place for the kids to play in the sand and find seashells - we always seem to find lots when we go! Also enjoy that there are museums and things to do somewhat close if you're looking for activities. Highly recommend!

Wright Brothers National Memorial
1401 National Park Drive,
Kill Devil Hills,
North Carolina 27954
The Wright Brothers National Memorial is a great place to stop for your family! It's really neat being able to see where the first plane was flown - what a remarkable accomplishment that was in itself! There is tons of space for little ones to roam and also an indoor museum full of all things airplanes. Great stop to make!

Downtown Aquarium
700 Water Street ,
Denver,
Colorado 80211
We visited the aquarium while in town with some friends. Our son really enjoyed looking at all of the animals and sea life! The aquarium is clean and I found it to be a very nice place to spend an afternoon. Loved that we could go at our own pace and really explore on our own. Fun activities for kids at the very end too!
