Clark Bridge
Clark Bridge,
Alton,
Illinois
"Bridge"
This bridge is interesting to drive over if your in the area. Besides watching the eagles fly from the Alton bluffs, there isn't any family friendly activities on the Alton side of the bridge. If you can swing a night without kids though, you have to visit Fast Eddies Bar and Grill.

Museum of Transportation
2967 Barrett Station Road,
Saint Louis,

"Interesting and historical"
Admission price is very reasonable at just a few dollars per person and the guided tours give a ton of information. The train and car exhibits are better for older children but there is a Creation Station for kids 5 and under. Not located near most other St. Louis attractions but worth the drive.

"Not for kids"
This isn't a mall in the typical sense. Built in an old train station the architecture is cool to look at. Not really anything for the kids to do. Paddle boats are available during the summer months but they are pricey and the life jackets stink. There are a couple of restaurants at Union Station but none are family friendly.

National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum

"Great Museum"
This is a great museum especially if you like the Old West. There is a virtual "old timey" city display complete with lots of period shops to explore. My kids loved it. Other areas of the museum included pottery, fashion, and art and sculpture exhibits that children might not enjoy as much as adults.

"Ducks"
Riding the Ducks in Branson is just the same as riding the Ducks anywhere else. The vehicle starts out on land and then drives right out into the water! Guides give some information but not alot. Kids like it although the water was a little choppy when we went so I'm not so sure its a good idea to take younger children.
