The My Gym in Frederick, MD, has been fantastic! When my son had just started to walk, we enrolled him in classes there! His gross motor skills improved dramatically with all the fun activities they have there!! The staff has a ton of energy and interacts well with kids at all ages!!

They also offer birthday parties where they will "do it all" for you!! I know I'll be using them for a party soon :-)

My 2 little boys (ages 10 mos and 3 1/2 yrs) had a blast at the Splash Playground!! Lots of shooting water fountains, waterfalls, sprinklers, buckets, etc to play in!! A great place to cool off without having to find a pool!! A great alternative for kids who don't know how to swim yet!!

Lockers and cubbies, showers, dressing room, restrooms and a vending area are located nearby.

The Splash Playground is fully accessible for people with disabilities, and all ages are welcome.

We usually head to the Strasburg RR when "Thomas the Tank Engine" is in town, but they have a great museum and train rides that go on all year round! They also have special events for the kids like "Thomas" and "Santa" trains!!

You can purchase a Combo Pass to include discounted tickets to the Strasburg Rail Road and the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. The two world-class attractions are conveniently located across the street from one another!

The Railroad Museum features an historic collection of more than 100 locomotives and rail cars on display.

The Strasburg Rail Road features rides aboard an authentic steam locomotive that travel to Paradise, PA and back (45-minute ride).

Pros: across the street from Dutch Wonderland, all rooms are 2 room suites, which is nice when travelling with kids :-), indoor pool, continental breakfast each morning, refrigerators in every room.

Cons - no restaurant on site; directly on Lincoln Hwy, so it can be noisy with truck traffic. Request a room in the back of the hotel :-)

This was a great hotel for us to stay at for our trip to Dutch Wonderland. The staff were great and very friendly. We were able to get checked in early and they let us check out late, so their flexibility was wonderful!!

The Bounce U in Clarksburg, MD, is a ton of fun!!! They have 6 or 7 bounce houses, from huge slides to obstacle courses!!

We recently attended a birthday party there and was very impressed at how clean the entire place was!! The staff was very friendly and took care of everything for the party!!

They also have food available!!

A nice incentive is that you pay for your kid, but parents get to bounce for FREE!! A lot of fun for the whole family!! And did I mention ..... clean..... :-)
