Robert Lake Park - Montreat Playgrounds & Park
401 Assembly Drive,
Montreat,
North Carolina 28757
"Great Park"
This is a large play area that is largely wooded with streams running throughout. Nice paths and lots of equipment. Toddlers require a little more assistance at this park because of the separate areas and the water. It is a beautiful park and a great place to spend the afternoon. Don't forget to bring a towel, the little ones will enjoy playing and splashing in the streams.

NC Zoo | kids travel, kids activities
NC Zoo
4401 Zoo Parkway ,
Asheboro,
North Carolina 27205
"Nice large Zoo"
This is a great zoo but go early and be prepared to walk! The new additions are wonderful! The Zoo is very clean and the animals seem to be well kept. The food is overpriced but they do have picnic areas outside the zoo. Make sure you go to the Africa side in the morning when the animals are livelier! We can't wait to go back to see the new Lemur Island!
