"Great atmosphere for College Football"
If you like College Football and Southern Culture, you MUST go to a University of South Carolina Football game during the fall, but get there early to Tailgate. Streets close down early to allow for pedestrian traffic and tailgate parties. South Carolineans come well dressed for a sporting event...and it is just that, an EVENT. Win or lose you can count on a loud, but lovely band, louder fans, and fine food throughout the Fairgrounds parking lot. Go Gamecocks!!!

Ybor City | kids travel, kids activities
Ybor City
1600 E. 8th Ave. Ste. 104B,
Tampa,
Florida
"History by day, freak show by night..."
...Ybor City oozes history, with the Cuban culture and Cigar Factory past(and current). Centro Ybor is a fun area that boasts Hip dining venues, Game Works Arcade for young and old, and a Movie Theater Complex complete with the Premiere Theater for Adults where alcohol is sold and Popcorn is free. After Dark, keep the kiddies away unless you want to answer questions that you may not be ready to answer. Streets are packed with Partiers, the nightclubs run load and late and the party often spills into the streets.

"probably the best in FL..."
...as far as amusement Parks go. You will pay top dollar to get in the door, but if you like rides, you won't be disappointed. Quite possibly my favorite rollercoaster anywhere is the Hulk ride at Islands of Adventure. There is a great area for the younger ones there as well in Seussland. For those who prefer to see rather than do, Universal Studios has many shows and simulations. Pay for the two park pass and do both if you have the time.

"One of the best for the kids."
If you want to see your kids have a blast while learning, bring them to MOSI. The exhibits are all kid friendly, and fun. The Hurricane room exhibit is Hair Raising. The high wire bike ride is fun as well. Almost all of the exhibits are hands on and allow little hands to build...or tear down.

"Low cost alternative..."
...to the high priced Mega-Amusement Park. No entry fee, pay as you go. They have typical Carnival type rides, but in the surrounding areas you will find some experiences not for the faint-of-heartz!!! Ride the Sky Coaster if you dare. You will be harnessed in and then raised several stories in the air, then released to free fall before the cables glide you into a Superman-like swing. After that try the SlingShot, where you will be secured in a pod that is shot straight up in the sky several hundred feet and then bungee up and down MANY times. The ride will be Videod for you as well. Also, cheaper than the previously mentioned heartstoppers...there is a mechanical bull ride down one of the side streets!!!
