EdVenture Children's Museum
211 Gervais Street,
Columbia,
South Carolina 29201
"EdVenture"
EdVenture is the best children's "museum" I have ever been to. My 3 year old daughter absolutely loved this place. There was so much for her to do. Don't miss out on the little art room on the second floor, a moment for them to chill. Skip out on the McDonald's in the basement, it's a little too dreary. Also, this is a free museum on the first of the month for Bank of America customers http://museums.bankofamerica.com/

"Loads of Apples!"
SkyTop Orchard has tons of apples! They have a small playground area, but nothing spectacular. The freshly made donuts are awesome! Bring a picnic lunch to round out your day. A half-bushel of apples cost $15, more than enough to make a few apple pies.

"Good Cheap Fun!"
Dan Nicholas Park is great! It's only about 10-15 minutes off of 85, so it's easy to get to from the local area. You can easily spend less than $10/child for a great day of fun. We love the merry-go-round, train, and the little zoo. Don't forget to pack a picnic lunch! Also, the Autumn Jubilee that occurs in October is fun for all!
