About Me & My Family

We are a family of Brits that currently enjoy the sunny perks of living in San Jose CA. I am a stay at home Mom of three girls (4, 2 and 9 months) and so like to keep myself busy and relatively sane by getting out of the house and frequenting the local kid friendly attractions. We have not yet travelled extensively in the US, but we have been lucky enough to visit a lot of California (LA, Napa, Tahoe, Yosemite, SF, SD, SB), As far as out of state trips go, we have spent time in NYC, DC, NC, Hawai, Porto Rico and Las Vegas. Looking forward growing this list.....

A Place We'd Love To Visit
So many, so little time (and money!)
Favorite Vacation Memory
Many great moments, (including my husband's close encounter with a bear in a campsite in Tahoe!) but the one that stays with me is the layover in Dallas on the way home from Porto Rico. We were starting to wonder whether or not our first born would ever move, let alone walk.. and after 11 months of immobility, she decided to crawl for the first time across the departure hall floor as we waited for our connecting flight....
Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
Again, to many to mention... such is life with toddlers I guess! For example- On a 10 hour flight back from the UK, my husband and I were traveling in two different classes. We decided that we would spilt the time in business class, thereby each spending 5 hours in coach with our 15 month old daughter. I got to do the first 5 hours in luxury.. just as I was settling into my first glass of champagne, ordering my gourmet meal and deciding which movie I would watch in peace, I was requested by the flight attendant to meet her in the galley where I found my frazzled husband and screaming child. It turned out that the only way we could get our daughter to calm down was if we both stayed with her.. in coach. It broke my heart, but that business class seat sat empty the whole way to San Francisco.. what a waste!
