This park is huge! We love the miles of walking trails and sandy beach area. The play area for the kids is nice and large with mature trees to provide shade. There are plenty of picnic tables and open grassy areas for having a family picnic or playing ball. It's easy to waste hours just walking around and enjoying nature!

I think the great fun at Carowinds is greatly overshadowed by the expense involved with a day there. Admission is way to expensive for a family. If you can get past that, the cost of the food, even water, will bring you to your knees. The activities and rides are great, we just can't justify the cost.

My daughter was invited to a birthday party at Latta Plantation and we were super impressed! It made me sad that she has a winter birthday. The staff was super friendly and provided great activities for the kids, including pony rides! Ilove that you are free to walk around the stables and see the different horses. My daughter had such a great time!

Baseball at it's finest! We've gone to two games now as a family and have had a great time at both! The stadium is very clean, has activities for the kids, and reasonably priced concessions. I love that they have different stuff going on at each game. Last time, we won 2 free Chic-fil-a sandwiches and got to watch fireworks!

The Belmont drive in is great fun for the whole family, especially for children who are a little older. I love that they have a double feature! It's nice to watch a more family friendly movie first, then put the kids down to sleep in the car while the adults watch a movie more geared toward them. It's a really cheap alternative to a theater!
