About Me & My Family

Now that we have two young sons, we're planning a few camping trips, borrowing my parents' RV! We feel like it may be the way to go for the next few years, until the kids can do a little more packing for themselves and entertaining themselves on long flights! We're also looking forward to a few road trips with the RV, like to Disneyland in the fall!

Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
I have a 'poop' story from my first time traveling alone with my oldest son. It's pretty good, but I think I'll just leave it at that and if you want more details, let me know! (ha ha)

"Good food and fun for families and all ages."
The food at this restaurant is served "family style" and you sit at big tables with lots of different people. It's a lot of fun, though it's a little expensive if you or your kids aren't big meat-eaters. Kids love hearing about the legend of the Lost Dutchman Mine in the Superstition Mountains, where the Mining Camp Restaurant is located.

"Excellent spot to play with the kids!"
We just got home from a trip to Mesa, Arizona to visit family, and the Phoenix Zoo is a great place to take the kids. There's a train that'll take you on a tour, a petting farm, a place to interact with Sting Rays, and a trail into the dessert, as well as all the great animal habitats. There are many places to eat throughout the zoo, and we found prices not to be too outrageous. We loved all the unique places to take photos of the family - sculptures, farm machinery, building facades, etc.
