"Step into History!"
Bandelier is a wonderful park to take the family out for an adventurous day. It does involve a good bit of hiking/climbing so make sure to dress appropriately. On site, you get a chance to step into the world of the early cliff dwelling puebloeans (sp?) and climb into the actual homes in the cliff wall! It was amazing to see how tiny but complex some of the cliff homes were and the guides were quick to point out that some of the ones we saw earlier on the ground were even more complex being that they were several stories high! The walking paths around the park were also great for a nice scenic day out. We really enjoyed out trip!

"Loved the view!!"
While not the best place for young children, my teenage nieces defintely enjoyed the ride up! I particularly liked the historic West exhibits and displays inside, though crowds, both inside and out were lengthy, wait-times weren't too bad. All in all, it combined beautiful views with historic information in an interesting way!

"Great Hotel!!"
Wonderful, pet-friendly hotel with very accommodating staff!! We had evacuated for a hurricane from the Gulf Coast and arrived here two hours before check-in. Hungry, exhausted and a cranky 8 months pregnant, I asked if they would let us check in early. The staff was more than willing and also gave us a doggie treat bag for our dog Winston. The next morning we came out for breakfast and the owner personally made my waffles and talked with us while we ate!! In the end, we got plenty of rest, weren't charged for the early check-in and were personally thanked for staying with them before we left. We will defintely return if we are ever in the area!!

"Wonderful!!"
I don't know what I can say that hasn't already been covered!! The Science Museum, to me, was the best part of the trip!! My nieces especially loved the covered walkway with the radar gun that told you how fast the cars on the highway below were going!! My favorite part walking through the Titanic showcase that was a featured exhibit during the time we were there. The little snack bar downstairs by the Omnimax was good and not unreasonably priced for museum food. Made a wonderful end to a great trip!!

"Not the best place to stay with children"
Obviously, as the name states, it is a hotel within a casino. However, most places seem to have at least some activities or make some concessions for families with children. I specifically asked while booking the room if I would be able to get a room on the first or at least one of the lower floors so that I wouldn't have to lug the stroller, bags and such very far. We were told that would not be a problem and that they would add a note to our record. When we arrived and were told we were on the second floor from the top I again asked if we could be changed to a lower floor at which the clerk sneered that those were saved for customers who would be gambling!! Also, when we got up the next morning and tried to go to the pool after lunch (early September in MS is a killer!) it wasn't even open though a sign declared that the pool was open 10:00-8:00. The front desk clerk seemed incredulous that someone would actually want to go swimming in the middle of the day!! There wasn't much in the immediate area for the kids to do and nothing at all except for a public park near the casino. We ended up cutting our vacation short just to get the kids home.
