The Children's Museum

Our local children's museum which we support through a family membership also accepted at other states' children's museums as well as science museums. Planetarium now known as Travelers Science Dome, changing exhibits. We have been several times, including a Beatles laser show last summer. Our son's favorite room is the Turtle Room which includes oversized turtle shells to enjoy.

We will definitely be back. Lots of great exhibits to see, play, learn and interact with (the water room); many photo ops. Our active then 3 yo son really loved it and did not want to leave. On the other end of the shared parking lot: bonus, a Boundless Playground called Devon's Place!

Children's Museum of South Carolina
2501 North Kings Highway,
Myrtle Beach,
South Carolina 29577
Armed with our home state children's museum reciprocal membership, we enjoyed many familiar sections of this museum (bubble area, etc). Just right for our then 3 yo son, as well as older niece and nephew who came along for the trip. Pizza delivery truck very fun, as are the boat, dress up area and of course the punch buggy! Awesome rainy day spot or just when you want a few hours out of the sun.

"Must Not Miss This When in Boston"
We spent an amazing Sunday afternoon at BCM (2009). Tip: start at the top / third floor and work your way down... definitely save the climbing structure for just before you leave. Very family friendly, so much to see, play, learn! When I asked our 4 yo son what his fav part was: "All of it, Mommy, all of it!"
Returned in 2010 with Dad ~ enjoyed T ride, yummy breakfast at Clink (former jail; cool place, pricey) then spent entire Saturday here.
