Uncle Bubba's Oyster House
104 Bryan Woods Road,
Savannah,
Georgia 31410
We absolutely LOVED Bubba's!! The food was the best we've had in Savannah, and excellent service!! I don't know which was the most memorable, a waiter (not ours) coming over to us to talk about how a cat had scared him to death outside repeatedly saying "it was fantastic!!" or meeting Jamie Dean and his wife and kid!! They were so nice and friendly. Everybody at Bubba's was friendly. They made us feel real special and at home.

The Lady and Son's
102 West Congress Street,
Savannah,
Georgia 31401
It's too long of a wait if you have a kid in line with you. I definitely wish we made reservations. We didn't care too much for the food, must've been an "off-day". I also did not care for the bathrooms. They weren't kept up. It was crowded, and not a place we would want to go to again. We did however love Uncle Bubba's.

Hall of Presidents and First Ladies
789 Baltimore Street,
Gettysburg,
Pennsylvania
"One of my favorite museums"
Maybe it's because I love history so much, but this is one of the main things I look forward to when I go to G-Burg. You get to sit on these benches and hear each president talk about his presidency. The presidents would move a bit as they talked. There were about 6 or so presidents per room, which is good in a way, because it lets kids get up and move. I hate to say it, but kids might be bored listening to the speeches, although I think it is fun. And the First Ladie's were absolutely beautiful!

Broadway at the Beach
Broadway at the beach,
Myrtle Beach,
South Carolina
"Tons of things to do and see"
Broadway at the beach is an amazing place to take kids. You can let them ride an artificial plane simulator, let them run down the piers and feed the catfish (yuck) and visit a bunch of shops along the way, like a caramel store (great for moms), and plenty of kiosks along the way. Like many reviewers said, there are boats you can ride across, but we decided to walk the piers. If you pick up a guide, you can get coupons and discounts for almost everything there. MajiQuest was a huge hit with my son, and we also went to the IMAX theater for an ocean-themed movie. Also, on our last night we scored free tickets to the Palace Theater for Le Grand Cirque, which was fun.

Breakers Myrtle Beach Resort
Oceanfront At 21st And 27th Ave.,
North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Seriously - anytime we are in Myrtle Beach, we are going to make sure to stay here! We had a WONDERFUL stay! There are 5 different towers, each with different types of rooms and views. We stayed in the Palms Tower, had a side-view balcony. We were pleasantly surprised, we thought we wouldn't have a good view of the ocean, but we had an amazing view. The rooms are clean, there's no smoking allowed inside unless you want to pay a hefty fine, but there is an area on the balcony with a place to dispose cigarettes. We saved a lot of money buy bringing our own food with us, and buying some in town. There is a small fridge, you have a stove, microwave, and coffee pot. The hotel supplies the pots, pans, silverware, glasses and plates. The only complaints about the kitchenette is there wasn't an awful lot of cabinet space for our boxed food. We had to make do with stacking them in the utility closet, which wasn't at all bad. And the stove was pretty ancient. It took a while for the stove top to heat up. We would eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in our mini-condo.
The hotel has its own beach, no roads to cross at all to get to the beach which I loved, and plenty of kiddie pools and separate pools for adults. There is a "pirates cove" area for kids which has a pirate's ship that kids can play in with a big indoor/outdoor pool.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone with a family or not, planning a trip to MB.
