We stayed at the St James Hotel during our family trip to New Orleans. It was clean with a comfortable bed, but nothing outstanding. There was ample space for our son's pack n' play, so we appreciated that. At night it seemed to be really loud outside the hotel. I was afraid it would wake my son, that's how loud we could hear it from within our room. It is within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. There are a couple of parking lots across the street that you pay to use. I think we paid a little over $20 for 24 hours.

When we made our family trip to New Orleans, one of my must visit spots was Cafe Du Monde. I wasn't disappointed by the beignets. They were delicious!! Lots of powdered sugar! The only drawback was that it was very crowded. Was found a place to enjoy our treat outside behind their building. We opted to go through the line where you just order and pick it up, rather than waiting for a table to become open. While in line, we had a good time watching them make the beignets.

Orange leaf is new to the Wichita Falls area and offers a great place to take the family for a sweet treat. It's right in the middle of a shopping area as well. You simply pick your yogurt flavor (or even mix flavors) and then add on as many toppings as you'd like. You're charged by the weight of your treat. Super yummy and fun!

Yogurt Journey is relatively new to Wichita Falls and is a very good place to get a sweet mid day or after dinner treat! They have several different flavors of yogurt to choose from. You fill your own yogurt cup (you can even mix flavors!) and then proceed to add on as many different toppings as you want. You're charged by the weight of your treat. Pretty affordable and fun!

Cafe Thirty-A offers a delicious meal for dinner. If you visit their web page you can find information about their 2 for 1 Entree deal, which is only during certain hours. I would recommend taking advantage of this deal as it can get a little pricey. In my opinion, it is worth it though. The atmosphere is beautiful and it's just a short walk from a fun afternoon at the beach.
