Split Rock Lighthouse
3713 Split Rock Lighthouse Rd,
Two Harbors,
Minnesota
This is a beautiful lighthouse in a beautiful area. I went up to this area of Minnesota almost every year of my childhhod. I always enjoyed the lihjthouse and also the areas you can hike along the shore. Now my kids love this trip as much as I always did.
If you don't want to go into the lighthouse then there is an area that you can go park without having to pay the state park fee. You can then walk to the shore and see the light house from there. There are picnic tables there so it could just be a quick place to stop, enjoy the view and eat. ALL for free. I would say that if you have small kids I would recomend them wearing one of those harnesses. Or yes I am talking about what most people are calling a leash. But I say that if you are keeping your child safe that they are for a good reason. Because by the shoer it would be dangerous without one.

Gooseberry Falls State Park
3206 Hwy 61 East,
Two Harbors,
Minnesota
This is a very beautiful place to go with family. Kids and adults like this place. When the water level is higher the falls are so full and beautiful. There is an area where you can wade in the water and kids can sit in the shallow water and play so bring your swimsuit and water shoes. Be careful in the water though since the rocks get slippery.

Noah's Ark Water Park
1410 Wisconsin Dells Parkway,
Wisconsin Dells,
Wisconsin 53965
I have great memories of Noah's Ark from when i was a kid and now my new memories I am making with my family there are even better. Noah's Ark has only improved itself over the years. They have a huge variety of different water slides, pools, and activites. They say it is the biggest water park in the country. I say it is deffinetly the best. To save on money we always bring a picnic lunch since the food is outragously expensive. Plus they don't have too many options for you and the kids.

Mall of America
60 East Broadway,
Bloomington,
Minnesota 55425
This was a really good place to spend our day. This is truly the biggest mall ever. There is a store for whatever you would ever need in this mall. Great toy stores too. The middle of the mall is a pretty big amusement park with rides mostly for kids but there are bigger ones also that the teens/adults like too. They have great choices for food in the food court also. Be prepared to walk though so if you have young ones bring a stroller and a sippy cup for them to drink.

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens
8225 Garland Road,
Dallas,
Texas 75218
I LOVE THIS PLACE. But I have to realize that it is really better for the adults. The kids are not that interested in the flowers. There are some play houses that the kids can play in along the way. But I still say that this is a must see in Dallas with the kids because you will get the best pictures with your kids here by the floers.
