"it's "ok""
This is such a fun thing for young kids to do. My husband and I took some friends' kids one day, ages 2 to 12. The kids really enjoyed it and talked about it for weeks. A highlight of the ride was that we did see some wild animals along the way including bald eagles.

As far as negatives go, I will say that from an adults perspective the train ride gets boring. The train goes extremely slow. The ride doesn't last long and is overpriced. They do have a concessions stand but from our perspective, don't waste your money. They just had small bags of chips that were overpriced, along with a few other little things like candy bars. The interior of the train is also old and not well kept up.

Although there are some negative points from my perspective, the kids absolutely loved it. The ride was magical for them and they could not have cared less how slow the train was going, or whether the interior was rickety looking.

"A cool place to take your family!"
Liberty Park is such a fun, family friendly Park. This is one of my favorite places to take our family of 4. My husband and I have 2 little girls, 2 and under. This park is for everyone from infant to adult with activities for all ages.

The possibilities for activities are endless: A duck pond where you can feed the ducks or go paddle boating, a large playground area with jungle gym equiptment, paved trails for biking, rollerblading, and running, little water trench trails for little ones to play in and small wading ponds, gardens, a swimming pool, a carosal and ferris wheel, Tracey Avery bird refuge, and lots of green grass to picnic or play on! What a great place!

"Pioneer Trek"
I went with our stake on a pioneer trek here just under 2 years ago. It was very beautiful and a great experience. The staff made it a great experience with the pony express reinactment, site markers etc. The one thing I did not particularly care for was the fact that we just walked in circles. I felt a bit defeated when we ended up in the same place as where we started.

"loved it!"
Every year I go to the free day at "This is the place Heritage Park". They have so many fun things for young kids. Train rides, tours, games, petting zoo, animals to see, ice-cream, bounce houses, horses. . . The volunteers are all dressed in pioneer garb so you get the full effect of this model town. Love learning about the history and seeing how residents of Utah settled and lived in utah.
