Route 6
600 North Broad Street,
Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania
"Too expensive for kids, not that interesting overall"
This was a tough review for me. Hence me just posting it even though we went 3 weeks ago. The reason I am having trouble is because it was totally my kind of night. The food was great, our friends that joined us were a ton of fun and the service was great. However it was not creative enough to draw me back anytime soon...to hear the rest of my review please go to HipsterHenry.com " A Kid's Guide to Philadelphia." http://www.hipsterhenry.com/2012/01/route-6/

Battleship New Jersey
100 Clinton Stree,
Camden,
New Jersey
Immediately you cross the gang plank and are standing below the enormous gun turrets at the front of the boat. We have a great time climbing all the different levels. Henry got to explore every section of the ship and never complained...to hear the rest of the review and how Iugged my other son around in the Bjorn through the ship go to HipsterHenry.com "A Kid's Guide to Philadelphia." http://www.hipsterhenry.com/thingstodo/attractions/battleshipnj/

"A Summer Must and an okay Winter option"
I never really think of Smith House as a winter fun destination because the playground that is open April through October is so awesome it makes the actual Smith House seem...well boring.
However...it was Smith House that saved the day this particular Sunday and I totally changed my opinion. Smith House is perfect for the 5 and under crowd. Each floor has differnt basic toys: trucks, dinousaurs, room full of different blocks, play kitchens, library (3rd floor), big wooden train, train set and playhouse. The basement of Smith House....to read more about what I think of the space during the winter and playground in the summer go to http://HipsterHenry.com "A Kid's Guide to Philadelphia."

Jellybean Jungle

"For the 5 and under crowd"
Again we went over the bridge and through the toll to New Jersey to check out the Jellybean Jungle. I was interested in Jellybean Jungle because it is for kids five and under. Since my posse contains a runner and a crawler this sounded like a perfect place to try. I knew about this place but the pictures on the website made it look a little hokey but another mom recommended it so I thought we would go for it.

"Worth Checking Out but expensive"
Overall it was a great trip. The boys loved just splashing around, it was not overcrowded and they were asleep before we pulled out of the parking lot...oh and Matt sneaked in and loved his solo trip down the giant water slide... for more details of how to have the best trip possible go to http://HipsterHenry.com "A Kid's Guide to Philadelphia."
