North Pole, Santa's Workshop
5050 Pikes Peak Hwy,
Cascade,
Colorado 80809
"So sad we outgrew the North Pole"
Santa's Workshop was where grandma took my twin boys for their 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th birthday. The rides are perfect for younger kids. Until they are about 5 or 6 most rides require an adult with them, but once they are tall enough they can do everything in the park. Their is alot of walking so have on good shoes and a stroller if needed. It is a great place to spend the day.

Castlewood Canyon State Park
2989 South State Highway 83 ,
Franktown,
Colorado 80116
"My family loves going here"
Castlewood Canyon is a great place to go on a short or pretty long hike with the kids. The trails are well maintained and they also have picnic areas. The best part for the little ones is their is a small stream running alongside some of the trail and we take swim suits and find a great place for a spash. There are alot of areas near the water to have a great lunch and the water is about up to their ankles and perfect for playing around. But be warned, that water is COLD!!

Historic Manitou Springs
354 Manitou Ave.,
Manitou Springs,
Colorado 80829
Manitou Springs is an interesting place for kids and adults. Alot of shopping and interesting things to see but the best for kids is the penny arcade. They have alot of old fashioned video games that still only cost a penny or a nickle. And you have to get some salt water taffy from the tiny little shop by the arcade. YUMM

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
4250 Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Road,
Colorado Springs,
Colorado 80906
My family loves this zoo. We drive down from Denver a few times a year to walk around this zoo. There are some hills to walk up and down so wear your comfy shoes. They do have a free shuttle that will take you around the zoo as well which is great when the kids need a little break. The giraffe area is awesome and allows you to get really close and feed them as well. The aerial tram is an additional fee but worth the couple bucks. Best zoo ever!
