Pisgah National Forest
160 Zillicoa Street,
Asheville,
North Carolina 28801
There is so much to do. If you enjoy camping , tubing, hiking, swimming, nature viewing, and much more this is where to go. There is a beautiful waterfall called Looking Glass Falls and you can walk down to the bottom of the falls and you can also swim in the pool at the bottom. All along the sides of the road leading through Pisgah there are picnic tables and places where you can swim or just explore the river. If you are hiking I recommend stopping by the Ranger Station and they have maps of different hikes and can assist you on a good hike for you. They are very helpful and very nice. There is also a nice gift shop inside the ranger station that you do not want to miss.

Virgin Falls
Highway 70,
Sparta,
Tennessee
This is a gorgeous and fun adventure. Trails are quite strenuous in places. I would not recommend for smaller children. It will take you a good 8 hours or more to hike all the way to Virgin Falls but it is well worth the hike. There is a trail going up to the top and to the bottom of the falls. There are a few other falls you will see in passing. Make sure you plan this trip in good weather, not raining. I have been there on the rainy days and walking through some of the creeks in the rushing water is a little treacherous. If going in the warmer season be careful there are a lot of rocky areas and rattlesnakes are in the area.

Chattanooga Choo Choo
1400 Market St,
Chattanooga,
Tennessee 37402
The Chattanooga Choo Choo is a neat place to visit and has some pretty good food too. Lots of train memorabilia. I think it would have been more exciting if we had stayed there at the Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel. but it was kind of pricy. Good thing is there is plenty in the area to do so you are sure to not get bored.

Adventure Science Center
800 Fort Negley Boulevard,
Nashville,
Tennessee 37203
I remember going to this museum as a kid and loved it. As a adult I am not sure if it is different or just from looking at it through older view. There are some interesting things to see. There is a Planetarium to view. Not a whole lot to do so make sure you have something else planned for the day also or it might be a short experience.

Memphis Pink Palace Museum and Planetarium
3050 Central Avenue,
Memphis,
Tennessee 38111
Pink Palace has lots to offer. If it is a great learning experience for kids. Lots of hands on learning to enjoy. The IMAX and Planetarium is a definite must see. Enjoyed this place as a child and have been many times since then. But as with most museums for kids bring money because there is a gift shop and you know you will not make it out the door without visiting. Does not take a lot of time to visit so you can always stop by the zoo too. It is right behind the Pink Palace.
