Lincoln Park Zoo | kids travel, kids activities
Lincoln Park Zoo

Animals and chidlren are always a great mix but this zoo which combines their exhibits with a lot of children's activities makes it an all time favorite for all my children.
We did have to park far from the zoo because it was really busy - we drove around until we found a random parking lot. Next time I will go online and plan better for that. We packed a lunch so the only costs were some drinks in the park and parking-awesome deal!

My family and I stay here whenever we go to chicago. My husband and I started going on our trips to the city in our single days. It doesn't offer a lot for the kids but it is a very nice hotel with awesome customer service-which is a great side bonus after a day of meeting the kids demands and screams. We love how the hotel is centraly located to everything we want to do- The Aquarium, the Art Museum, down town for shopping and eating, and the Park is right accross the street.

This is a great trip with my older son but not so fun with my toddler girls. They love to go swimming in the water park but the rides at the amusement park still scare them. Next time we'll probably leave the girls at home with grandma and grandpa. Otherwise great fun for the whole family. We pack a cooler and snacks in the car for a mid day break and to save a little money. Also we buy our tickets at AAA or at our YMCA to get discounts on the tickets -they are much more expensive purchasing them at the park entrance.

This was an enjoyable addition to our grand canyon trip. My then 6 year old son and I loved seeing and learning about the trees but it was really hot when we visited.

Everyone there was really nice and took the time to explain things in terms we could understand. We spend a couple hours seeing near by attraction in the park and having lunch.

The Detroit zoo is a perfect activity for my family to spend the day together doing something we all love.

We usually stop at the playground with our picnic lunch and spend a fun hour. The kids get to run around before we put them back in the stroller or wagon to visit more animals.

Each time we visit we see something new. And if you want something a little more exciting for the older kids they have the imax theater.

a visit to the zoo wouldn't be complete without a train ride through the park-which gives us older kids a chance to relax, for a minute anyway.
