Yummy cupcakes to take on the go! get a few to enjoy in a near by park. Delicious fun. Menu changes daily so check out the website for the flavors of the day. Our family favorite is the "What's Up Doc?". The mini cupcakes are the perfect size for little ones. A yummy fun treat!

My young son and I really enjoy this park. There are paved paths, a nice playground and swings. Plenty of open space/grass and trees to picnic under. There is a covered shelter with several picnic tables and bathrooms.
We love to pop by this park whenever the mood strikes. It's a great place to bring a picnic blanket and lunch.
Play structure has a few slides to choose from with many activites for children to do. Monkey bars and climbing fences ... stairs and poles. Padded ground and wood chips make it a great, safe place to play.
There are two big kid swings and two baby swings.
Grounds are always well maintained. I like this big, clean park.

"It's the BA (Bright Angel)"
The 'super-highway' of the Grand Canyon. Well maintained, great views! Head down for a day hike and bring some snacks and water. Even though the trail is well maintained, it is the Grand Canyon so it goes down, down, down or up, up, up ... depending which way you're going :)
There is nothing else like it in the world! If it is the only trail you have time for during your Grand Canyon experience, take the time to walk a bit on this trail.
Small ones should be in a baby carrier - Strollers will not work well here.

"Tanner Trail begins here!"
My favorite, most difficult hike ever! This is a challenging and most rewarding backpacking adventure.
The overlook itself is wonderful, worth getting out for. But the real beauty is just below the rim.
Experienced backpackers will love this quiet and challenging route. Do your research thoroughly:

This trail is tough!
Not for small children.
Families should be very experienced and well prepared to hike this trail. Don't forget to apply for and bring your backcountry permit!

"Love the Walk-In Sites!"
I feel so lucky this cute little park is so close to home! It makes for a great family outing. I love the walk-in sites, which are in the wooded area. It is so close to home and really gives a quick and easy feeling of getting out into nature.
We pack our young son into his Ergo and use our small dolly to transport our camping supplies to our campsite. Wheelbarrows are also available from the park ranger, just stop by their booth and ask.
There is a small playground right outside the walk in sites, plus the lake just down the hill. I would consider this place stroller friendly too but a carrier always helps in a pinch.
I would suggest to bring your own firewood, we use the firewood available from the concession stand as fire starter but it's not much to get you through the night.
