"at Rock Harbor"
We were just driving to find any Cape Cod beach, and found this one at low tide! It was soooo amazing on the clear Fall day we were there--- miles and miles of sand exposed at low tide, views to take one's breath away. We parked at Rock Harbor for easy access (there are port-a-potties there for kidlet emergencies!). It's a long walk to the ocean, but the creek/ inlet provided lots of wading and chasing little minnows, finding shells. Bring swim gear and pails and a sun shade and enjoy a few hours!

"good to see the town"
We were a sleepy two year old and tired parents, and wanted to see the town without all the walking! It worked great to give us an overview so we could decide a few places to visit ourselves, and was fun for the little one! It was also great because we went in the Fall when it was a bit cold for walking.

"good for lunch"
It's not a large area, but there's a park to play at, and good places to eat. Go grab some Dim Sum or Japanese food. A few street vendors and little shops provide cheap Chinese snacks and trinkets. Suggest parking in a garage or taking public transportation (best) to get there.
