Great family day trip! Growing up in Asheboro, I have seen the zoo grow from to the magnificent zoo it is now!!! It is a world class place!! You will see animals not in cages, but in their true habitat! And the new elephant exhibit is AWESOME!!! Take a picnic and enjoy the picnic tables outside of Africa looking out over the lake - but what out for begging geese! You will walk, and walk, and walk but it is SO worth it!!!

Center City Park is conveniently located downtown Greensboro central to the Children's Museum and ArtQuest as well as the Public Library. Fabulous to picnic there on nice days. The water features are great entertainment. Very relaxing to watch! Great grassy area for the kids to run some energy off! Some evenings during the summer the city hosts concerts for the public.

Finding something to occupy 3 kids - 12, 2, and 10 months - happily is sometimes hard. The Greensboro Children's Museum is THE place for them! You will find a fabulous toddler area that my 2 yo and 10 month LOVE. A wooden train to play on, an airplane, a grocery story, a "house", art area and so much more! We asked for a membership for a gift from a family member and visit it at least 2 times a month and never see all the areas - staying an average of 3 hours. Great time!
