About Me & My Family

3 kids, 2 parents. Laughter, crying, dancing, and playing fill our home with joy and sometimes a little insanity.
Our Family's Travel Personality
rowdy, relaxed, simple, independent

Our Favorite Vacation Spot

A Place We'd Love To Visit
Northwestern Pacific Coast (Northern California, Oregon, Washington)
Favorite Vacation Memory
As a child we went to Mount Rushmore. On the way home all the children in my family wanted to watch a drive in movie across the road from our campsite. We climbed a nearby hill to watch and we went to sit down. My little sister was complaining and I told her to just sit. She sat on a cactus. I don't like the memory as much as I like the retelling of it. We have had many a family laugh over the "mean older sister making her obedient younger sister sit on a cactus." I love family legends!
Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
Trying to tour Washington DC with my husband's large family. There were too many people unwilling to take a lead and we invariably ended up standing around a lot. This wasn't very conducive to happy children.

"Delicious Ice Cream Choices"
THis restaurant lets you choose your toppings and your ice cream. They then put your ice cream on a marble slab and mix it together with your toppings. ths children like seeing their ice cream made and choosing from a variety of topping and ice cream alternatives.

"Great Restaurant found ALL OVER Utah"
This is a great restaurant to get cheap and quick Mexican food. Their Pork Barbacoa is a favorite with just about everyone. My family from Idaho likes to eat here when they visit and I recently got together with a friend from Sweden and she was told to eat here when she came. It's totally family friendly. I just dislike how rushed it is so it's hard to decide when you get there.

"Old School Drive Up Restaurant"
I have eaten at this restaurant since I was a kid. The french fries are some of my favorite! They have delicious shakes and food. I like that you just park and they come and take your order and deliver it to your car. My father grew up in the Brigham City Area and this is a family favorite for all of his 8 brothers and sister and their families.

"Good Local Ballet"
This Ballet's Theater is beautiful. I love all the ornate old detail. Children over 5 can attend any of the ballets and if you watch deal site you can sometimes get great deal to this ballet. We recently went for only $8 a ticket! The dancers and the orchestra are very talented.

LDS Conference Center
Northwest corner of North Temple and Main St.,
Salt Lake City,
Utah
"Beautiful Building"
This is a beautiful building. The gardens on the top of the building are beautiful and provide a nice view of the surrounding area. The conference center seats over 20,000 people for Latter-day Saint Meetings. But, it is well organized and easy to find a place despite the size. It is worth taking a private tour when there isn't a big event going on, since that is the only time you are allowed on the top of the building.
