Rock City atop Lookout Mountain
1400 Patten Road,
Lookout Mountain,
Tennessee
"Rocks galore"
I'm not sure this is really worth the price of admission. It all boils down to the fact that you're paying to look at a bunch of rocks. While there are some points of interest, like the lookout where you can allegedly see 7 states, those with claustrophobia may have trouble walking through some of the tight rock formations like the "Fat Man Squeeze." The highlight of the tour for kids is the fairy tale land at the end. Its a diorama of almost every mother goose nursery rhyme you can think of.

St. Augustine Alligator Farm and Zoological Park | kids travel, kids activities
St. Augustine Alligator Farm and Zoological Park
999 Anastasia Blvd.,
Saint Augustine,
Florida 32080
"The title speaks for itself"
Its my feelings now that, you've seen one alligator, you've seen them all. While the park was clean, it was hard to feel at ease when you are surrounded by literally hundreds of alligators at once. Plus, I generally prefer to watch idiots wrestle alligators from the comfort of my living room rather than live in front of a large audience.

Underground Atlanta
50 Upper Alabama Street,
Atlanta,
Georgia 30303
"Lots to do"
Underground Atlanta is a must on any trip to Atlanta. There are a wide variety of shops and places to eat. We always love to check out the kitschy stores and then grab some delicious cookies from the Great American Cookie Company. Plus, there's usually some entertainment for the kids, like ballon animal artists.

Kitchen Kettle Village | kids travel, kids activities
Kitchen Kettle Village
Rt 340,
Intercourse,
Pennsylvania 17534
"Lots of shops"
"Intercourse is everything I thought it would be." Or at least that's what the souvenir T-shirts from Intercourse, PA proclaim. The Kitchen Kettle Village boasts a wide variety of shops and eateries. Plus, the antique stores are a must with lots of great finds. Just make sure you leave enough room in your suitcase or in the car when you're packing to make the trek to this area.

Wilbur Chocolate Company | kids travel, kids activities
Wilbur Chocolate Company
48 North Broad Street,
Lititz,
Pennsylvania 17543
"The Best Chocolate in the wolrd"
This company makes the best chocolate I have ever tasted. Located in downtown Lititz, they produce their famous Wilbur buds daily. You can purchase their semi-sweet buds or their dark chocolate buds. They even have a mixed bag of the two kinds in addition to various other types of chocolate delicacies.
