Spillman's Christmas Trees
1576 Will Coltrane Rd.,
Sophia,
North Carolina 27350
"Best place to buy your Christmas tree!"
This is such a neat idea. It's a family owned and worked tree farm. They're open right after Thanksgiving up until Christmas. They're super nice people! The prices are reasonable. And you know exactly where the trees come from! It's not like one of those beside-the-grocery-store stands. HIGHLY recommend!

"Take me out to the ballgame!"
Now I have to admit, I'm not one to dish out a lot of money on an attraction. So before going, always see what the specials are. The last time we went, we went on a week night and there was a discount for something we're members of. But once you get past the price... we love baseball! It's a super fun atmosphere. And we love the dogs :)

Concord Mills

"Shopaholic's mall"
For little ole me who hasn't been too many great places, this is a nice size mall! My hubby likes the Bass Pro Shops. The kids like the Disney Store, among other places. And I love the savings. You can't really go wrong. I wouldn't make a weekly trip to Concord since it is over an hour away, but if we're ever in the area, we stop.

"Super cool place!"
I've never been here with my kids, but I've been with my brother's 4 and they love it! The kid in me loves it too! They can learn so much while playing at all sorts of cool stations. I think I could've stayed there for hours on my own! There's wood to carve things out of. There's fabric and needles and patterns to sew things. It's the cutest place!

Carowinds

Charlotte,

"Good family fun"
Before we got married, my husband and I bought a summer pass to Carowinds. I was teaching at the time so my entire summer was free, and for the price of the summer pass, we could go twice and already have saved money. Carowinds is great! There's a big water park section which is great during the hot months. It's nice to cool off in, then go ride, and then come back to cool off.
