"Well worth a membership"
As a lover of animals, my husband and I have been taking our girls, 16 months, to the zoo since they were born. The layout of the zoo is wonderful and beautiful. With peacocks roaming freely and trees for shade it's a wonderous place to go any time of the year.
Even though seeing the animals is fantastic, there is much more to do at the zoo. As a member, even not, there is a story time for the younger kids and activity time for the older kids. Even though these do cost extra, it's the same if you went to another kid activity store or place. For free there are tours and at certain time of the day they have experts come out and explain about certain animals and sometimes bring some out for the kids and you to look at.
Every month the zoo has lots of activities to go do and our girls never get sick of going to see animals! If they do, there is a carousel and a train that takes you around on a long loop. Our girls were a little apprehensive of the carousel at first, now they cannot get enough of it.
One tip for going to the zoo however, is to get there early. Parking fills up fast and it can be a long walk in for little and big tikes excited to see some big furry beasts!!!

"First time, fun time"
This was the first time bringing our 16 month twin girls to the museum and were a little apprehensive due to their age and were worried there would not be a lot for them to do. Boy were we surprised!!
Even though it is a little pricey, $27 for four of us, it is well worth the money.(They do have every first Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm free to the public.) We went on a Saturday at 11 in the morning, about the time that every other family goes out to do activities! Astonishingly, there was plenty of room for everyone. Which means to us that our girls won't get run over and knocked down everywhere they go.
Almost the entire first floor is dedicated to kids under the age of 5. There is an entire old timey town with trees, a store, garden, house, and above all a slide! I think that our girls would have moved right in there if they could. They also have a story time a couple times a day which is kind of quiet room if the kids get a little overwhelmed with so much fun. For the boys and girls, who will want to be one or marry one, there is a real fire truck that kids can climb in to and push all the buttons and wear firemen gear.
The second floor is for the older tots that don't put everything in their mouths immediately. They have a wonderful area for building the next big invention with screws, wood and metal. We avoided this area like the plague due to little screws everywhere. For the scenic route there is a train station where kids and adults can build trains. As for the shopper in all of us there is a Whole Foods Market to buy and cook food. Also, there is a vet office with x-rays of dogs and cats and the all important lab coat. The coolest part for our girls was the worm hole that you climb to the top of a huge hill to go down in to. This takes a little engineering for us big kids to climb up and down, but well worth it!!
There is a cafe which is very, very small and a little overpriced, which I guess all attractions are. There is outdoors seating and a microwave if you are prepared enough to bring your own food.
Overall, our experience was unbelievable and our girls have packed their bags and are ready to move in!
