About Me & My Family
My husband and I have adopted our two children and feel immensely blessed to have them in our lives! Our extended families live in Indiana and Maine while we live in Florida. We get to travel quite a bit to visit family and we enjoy a wide variety of activities when we travel. Our favorite activities revolve around water as we all are crazy about water! :)

Our worst travel moment was when we decided to drive to IN via Eastern TN with a 6 month old. He screamed the entire time!

Callaway Gardens
17800 US Hwy 27,
Pine Mountain,
Georgia 31822
We went to the butterfly garden house and it is just amazing. What absolutely gorgeous flowers and the butterflies are so beautiful. We went for the weekend and just thoroughly enjoyed how relaxing it is there and there is just so much to do--hiking, swimming, running, etc. We can't wait to plan our next trip!

Conway Scenic Railroad

North Conway,
New Hampshire 03860
This train ride is just beautiful through the White Mountains. The fall offers a gorgeous view of the folliage and int he winter the railroad is turned into the Polar Express, which is simply magical! We have been several times and have enjoyed the train ride each time.

Big Kahuna's
1007 Highway 98 East,
Destin,
Florida
Big Kahunas is definitely worth the stop if you love waterslides! They offer something for everyone and even something for those who don't love slides. They have miniature golf and go carts as well as bumper boats. The kids always have so much fun and it is a good change from the beach.

L.L.bean
95 Main St.,
Freeport,
Maine 04033
"Something for Everyone!"
If you are going to be in Maine, a trip to LL Bean's is a must, even with children! The store is just huge and so guests should plan on a least a couple of hours for their first visit. LL Bean's has everything from clothing, to camping supplies, to fishing equipment, to bikes, to . . . just use your imagination to fill in what you want--they have it! :)
Kids have plenty to do--there is a huge activity area for kids in the children's section (including a chalkboard that is BIG) and then there are also lots of fish ponds and the like throughout the store. My daughter hates shopping and she loves going to Bean's.

Lambert's Cafe
2981 S. McKenzie,
Foley,
Alabama
If you haven't been to Lambert's Cafe, it is definitely worth a trip! The restaurant calls itself "Home of throwed rolls" and my kids just love it! They think it is pretty cool that the servers throw food, in a restaurant no less!
The food is excellent and the servings are HUGE. There is something for everyone, but it is mostly southern style food. In addition to the meal and the sides that come with the meal, servers walk around the restaurant with additional sides that are unlimited. No one should walk away hungry!
