"I left my heart at this BRIDGE "
I have a confession: I LOVE BRIDGES. And this one is my absolute favorite (yes, better than the London Bridges)! It is nice to visit any time: at night to see the lights, during the day to see it's brilliant color and hear the sound of cars driving on it, during the morning to find it hidden in the fog, etc.
I have heard over 9 million people visit this bridge per year...mostly in the summer months. You can walk, bicycle, and drive near/on it. There small statues in the parking lot and gardens you can stroll in nearby.
There is a toll to cross it because, well, it DOES serve as a vital transportation link for U.S. Highway 101 between the City and County of San Francisco and Marin County to the north. So make sure to have change or a pass.
There are several different viewpoints to snap photos at so be sure to trek around and find the one you like the most.

Hogle Zoo | kids travel, kids activities
Hogle Zoo

"ANIMAL PARTIES"
It is great to visit a zoo at least once in your life, but Hogle Zoo provides reasons to go a few more times. The zoo is open every day except Christmas and New Year's Day. At Christmas time, you can visit Zoo lights and enjoy Christmas lights as you walk around to meet animals including Santa's reindeer and Santa himself.
You can plan an early count down for New Year's at the zoo at 9pm full of noise makers and a craft (and the ZOOlights are still up).
Trick-or-treating is also available for a safe environment to dress up like animals and see the animals.
During the normal season, you can visit the animals starting at 9am. See website for list of prices. You can also purchase tickets to ride a fun train and carousel which is pretty enjoyable at least once.
The zoo has lots to see and puts on MANY fun events throughout the year to keep you wanting to come back.
Good for all ages, stroller accessible.

National Aquarium in Baltimore

"Good times under the Sea"
I went on a Sunday after last February and it the lines to buy tickets were long, but they moved fast. If you have to wait for a show, it is ok because there is lots to walk around and see in the area. I would recommend buying the TOTAL EXPERIENCE PACKAGE. With that package, you get admission to the aquarium, fun 4D immersion theater (sounds and effects pop out to surprise you), and the super fun dolphin show.
I loved everything about this aquarium! There are lots of gift shops and penny squishing souvenir machines if you are into those (I am).

There are escalators and moving walkways so they recommend leaving strollers at home. You can check them at the door if you need. There are bike racks and parking on the street is available (if you find a lucky spot).

They are open every day of the week starting at 10am and close at 4 on weekdays, 5 on Saturday & Sunday, and 8pm on Fridays. The ticket is a little pricy at $29.50 for adults, $28.95 for seniors, and $24.95 for children, but well worth it at least once! (This price is for the total experience package. Admission for just the aquarium is only $5 less so I say splurge and upgrade...you won't be sorry you did.) Great for ALL ages.
MUST VISIT spot!

The Peaks Ice Arena | kids travel, kids activities
The Peaks Ice Arena
100 N Seven Peaks,
Provo,
Utah 84601
"RINKS"
There are several rinks here for both hockey and skating. There is also an area for soccer and during the winter lacrosse, rugby, and football teams come to practice. Instruction is offered for both hockey and figure skating at different levels.

Rinks are available for rent on certain nights if you have big groups to skate want or to play broom hockey or you can you can pay general admission and come for public skate. You can also call ahead to plan a birthday party.

Prices aren't too high for admission and skate rental is available also for a small fee. There is a small snack concession area and plenty of bathrooms in the facility. The arena is open year round so go get your skate on 365 days a year.

Ice skating might be dangerous for small children. Most patrons skate around the rink in a circle in the same direction for one hour and then in reverse for the second hour of public skate. Figure skaters who wish to practice tricks or skills usually do so in the middle of the rink.

"doesn't ROCK HOUSE"
This place was very interesting. The coolest thing is the infinity room (it looks like it goes on forever) and the bathrooms by the cafe are pretty interesting (both the mens and womens). Other than that it is REALLY long self guided tour. I went at Christmas time and there were lots of random creepy Christmas decorations all around...like things you would see at a thrift shop or in your Grandma's garage all in one place. It's really weird. Inside there is a giant carousel that you aren't allowed to ride. There are some spots that are outside and it was rather cold (it was winter after all) so make sure to take a coat! I'd say skip this one, but if you do decide to go, make sure you allow for several hours and wear comfortable shoes (it's a long one for sure).
