Great Wolf Lodge

Sandusky,
Ohio
If you are looking for somewhere to take your family for New Year's eve look no further. They go all out for you and your little bambinos. Staff extremely polite and helpful. The water park while not as big as Kalahari it has quite a bit too offer. They also have one huge adult only hot tub if you get a chance, go in there it's a nice escape!

Lagoon Deer Park
1502 Martins Point Rd.,
State Route 269,
Sandusky,
Ohio 44870
Went here in a van with another family. They boast that they have over x amount of animals. What they don't say is they are mostly all the same kind. They have a small cafe area and bathroom-both are absolutely disgusting and dirty. Drive the extra hour and a half and go to the zoo. This place not worth the money.

Cedar Point Amusement Park
One Cedar Point Drive,
Sandusky,
Ohio 44870
If you have children of the adventurous kind, you must go here. The roller coasters are amazing! My son absolutely loves the new ride they got last year "shoot the rapids". If you go here during the summer months try to avoid the weekends, you can find yourself in some pretty long ride wait times. If you go on their website or facebook page you often can find coupons off admission which can get pricey. If you live in the area the best bet is to get the season passes.

The Children's Museum Of Cleveland
10730 Euclid Avenue,
Cleveland,
Ohio 44106-2200
The children's museum in Cleveland is wonderful! They have multiple interactive exhibit rooms for your little ones to exert some major energy. I will add that at least two of these rooms have exhibits where you may not want your children wearing there Sunday best. One is a water area where the kids play directly in the water and learn about transportation and movement. The other is a HUGE room of sand the kids jump around in. My boys LOVE it, but we learned the hard way about dressing appropriately!

"Hotel more for a younger crowd"
We stayed here after an Indians game. I found this is not the hotel for a family. Its location is in a very congested area where lots of "hot spots" for a younger crowd are near by. We had two bachelor parties staying by us and they were very loud. We asked the front door man ,and he stated that this is typical during sports seasons. They do have a very nice ballroon so, if you are looking for a place to hold a wedding then here's your place! I'd look on the outskirts in a nice suburb such as Westlake or Rocky River for family travel though!
