Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific | kids travel, kids activities
Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific
100 Aquarium Way,
Long Beach,
California 90802
"Pretty good!"
I was amazed at some of the reviews here! One of them says it's kind of small but I think it's just the right size! I mean it's not the same size as the Monterey Bay or the New Englad aquariums but it's a great place to spend the day!

They have great displays, a "petting" section and the animals look well taken care of. There is access for strollers and the restrooms are clean and spacious.

Before you start going through the aquarium you should take a look at what the schedule for the day is. That way you can catch all the "feeding" shows and other activities.

OVerall a good value!

"Amazing!"
I rarely give anything 5 stars but this is my favorite amusement park EVER.

Several reasons:
1)It's always clean.
2)Employees are friendly
3)The rides actually fit an average person. Some of the other parks have rides that only an annorexic person could fit in.
4)Enough rest stops and rest rooms.
5)Enough water fountains and concessions.
6)Excellent variety of rides. Adults and children can have fun. Even a few rides (Carousel) approppiate for babies.
7)It's cheaper than any other parks. Military Discount, Coke cans..anything will give you a good discount. Get the season pass if possible, you won't regret it!

River Walk | kids travel, kids activities
River Walk

"Awesome place to go to!!...by yourself."
I LOVE the San Antonio River walk. It's in front of the Alamo so you can see that and then go by Ripley's and then have dinner by the river. It's pricey because well..it's an attraction, but it's awesome! you can even take a boat ride. HOWEVER!...It's a tough place to go if you have any small kids with you. Parts of the walk are not "secured" so a small child can fall right in. It's not very stroller friendly, it's very narrow and there is only one ramp and I believe one elevator (it's been 1 year since I've been there so it might have changed) so you are going to have to take the stroller wherever you go. Up and down the stairs. But they have a Hard Rock Cafe and a Ben & Jerry's which in my opinion is all you need :D.

"Fun!!"
This is a very good size Aquarium for the Dallas Area. It's wide and open so you can push the stroller with no problem. As any other aquarium your food choices are both, limited and expensive.

If you do not have any coupons or a senior, or military ID tht can save you a few bucks I would actually consider this an expensive attraction.

It's cool and all but I wouldn't go more than once a year. I'd much rather go to Six Flags or Hurricane Harbor.

"Fun for adults, teens and young children."
This park is AWESOME. They have the new X2 roller coaster. I can not tell you how much fun that is. That is..until I had my daughter almost year ago.

This park has great roller coasters and rides for adults, teens and young children, there is not much to do with a baby or a toddler except the carousel and a few more rides. Definitely not worth the money if a toddler is all you have.

Bring the grandparents along so you can go on the rides and they can entertain said child. Food is expensive of course but Johnny Rockets I think has a family sized bucked of food that will be the best thing since pop-tarts.

Bring your coke cans for a discounted price, buy online and find a coupon code for a small discount or just buy a season pass during the first few months of the year for the best price.
