Lombard Street (Crookedest Street)
Lombard Street, between Hyde and Leavenworth,
San Francisco,
California
The kids will love this! It takes about ten minutes to drive down this street. You will see beautiful flowers and cute little houses as you drive down, along with tourists trying to take pictures. You must drive down this street just to say you have done it!

"Take A Picture By The Gate!"
Everyone who comes through San Francisco needs to get their picture taken by the green gate to the entrance of China Town. Entering China Town is like entering a whole other world. The food in China Town is amazing and I am pretty sure you cannot eat any where that is bad. People don't often visit their tea stops. Just about the only shopping you can find in this area is touristy stuff but if you like fresh fruits and veggies, you can find some good markets.

Boudin Bakery at Fisherman's Wharf
160 Jefferson Street,
San Francisco,
California 94133
When I take visitors into San Francisco, I make the go to Boudin, probably because I LOVE it!! This is kid friendly and great food. You can sample their amazing, one of a kind sourdough bread or their famous clam chowder. You can have both in a bread bowl, as well! For light eaters, their salads are delicious. For the kids, they have great grill cheese (on sourdough, of course) and traditional soups. You will LOVE this place after an afternoon of walking around the wharf!

Alcatraz
Pier 33 (on Embarcadero and Bay St),
Hornblower Alcatraz Landing,
San Francisco,
California 94133
If you are coming to San Francisco, at any age, you MUST visit Alcatraz Island. There is so much history at this island. You take the Ferry over to the Island, get off and start your tour. The good thing about this tour is you can tour it at your own pace. You have your own head phones telling you where to go. Be sure to get pictures behind the bars! Check out the prisoner trading cards in the gift shop!

Fisherman’s Wharf and Wharf #2
1 Fishermans Wharf,
Monterey,
California 93940
"An Afternoon at the Wharf"
Of course, this is not as big as Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, so don't expect that but it is a cute little Wharf in Monterey. Very reasonibly priced restaurants that overlook the water along with cute, unique shops that accentuate this fishing community.
