"Fun times at Traintown"
We visited in March when the weather was still cool and the crowds at bay. There is a lot to do at this little place. Some of the rides weren't open when we visited but my daughter was happy to ride the train and the merry-go-round. The train makes a 10 minute stop at a little town where there are farm animals to pet and feed.

"A zoo for those who don't like zoos"
This small and unassuming zoo provides a safe haven for over a hundred animals rescued from all sorts of circumstances. There are tigers, monkeys, wolves, and bears, as well as common California wildlife such as hawks, coyotes, and skunks who make their home here. It's a good organization to support, however, my only complaint would be some of the habitats. It is clear the zoo could use a bit of a facelift and expand some of the animal exhibits to better meet their inhabitants' needs.

There's a great little park nearby for picnicking and a small train that runs adjacent to the park and zoo.

"Impressive and fun"
We often come here to escape the summer heat. My daughter loves trains in every shape and size and there are enough here to keep her stimulated. The toy train set upstairs can get a little crowded but there are enough distractions to keep a meltdown at bay.
