Carousel Inn and Suites at the Disneyland Resort
1530 S Harbor Blvd,
Anaheim, California
"Great location, not great room."
The room was small, old and not clean(black hairs in the bathroom). There was little storage space so the stuff I brought to prepare lunches for Disney I had to keep in the drawer of the end table between the beds. You also have you make sure you pull the door shut tightly behind you because it doesn't shut on its own. The beds we ok not bad. The breakfast was the standard cheap stuff you get at most cheaper places ie, donuts/ pastries, couple different cereals, bagels, hard boiled eggs, and apple or oranges. There isn't free wifi. The pool was ok on the roof so it was cool to be in the pool and see Disneyland at the same time. There isn't a hot tub though and they didn't stock the towels well. The best thing they have going for them is that they are right across from Disneyland so you can walk and not have to deal with the shuttle. You can also just go up on the roof at night and get a great view of the fireworks! I would for sure spend more and stay somewhere else but if you don't mind all the little things I just complained about then it's an ok place.

The sofa bed is not great but kids don’t seem to mind, especially after a long hard day at Disneyland. There is a microwave, toaster, some kitchen utensils i.e... Can opener, soup bowls plates, cups, silverware. and the mini fridge is actually pretty good sized. They told us it wouldn’t fit a gallon of milk but you just take out a shelf and we totally fit 2 in there and all our food no problems. The pool has a fun little mini splash pad type area for the kids and the hours for the pool are late 11pm so that was great, they could still go down when we got back from Disney (if they didn’t crash once we got back) The staff was amazing we lost a woody hat and asked the maid if she could check the laundry and she went above and beyond and found it in our room! She would always take the kids/baby blanket and pillow pets and make cute things on the beds every day. They have movies you can check out 2 a night for free. It was such a great experience and didn’t cost and arm and leg. It’s really close to Disney. I wouldn’t walk it but you certainly could. I just have little kids who wouldn’t make the walk back at night after walking Disney all day. I don’t know how much more I can say to really tell you how much I was so glad we stayed here, going again in November!!!

Kaysville Theather
21 N Main St.,
Kaysville,
Utah 84037
So the way it works is you have to wait for that transition period where the movies aren’t in theaters anymore but they aren’t out for sale and then they go to the discount theaters. Its 2.00 weekdays 3.00 weekends but that’s not the only thing cheaper the concessions are too! I LOVE taking my kids here because I always feel SO SO bad when I have to tell them no to popcorn at the big theater because I refuse to pay that much for it. So they get the best of both worlds here they get to see the movie on the big screen and get to get popcorn!

Gardner Village

"expensive shops but fun "
The little boutique shops are full of overpriced stuff if you ask me but the area is fun to go visit. There is a restaurant and a cafe. In the summer there is a pony ride thing. For Halloween they do a whole big witches theme and have big parties and dinner shows. You can do weddings or receptions (and I assume company parties if you want) here. They have it all set up as Santa’s village for Christmas. It’s really cute and fun for the kids I just wouldn’t come here to buy my furniture or other things that they sell here that I think are overpriced like I said earlier! Overall it’s worth the trip out for the experience though

Surf n swim
465 N Wasatch Dr,
Layton,
Utah 84041
Surf and Swim puts up a giant bubble in the winter and you can go all year. It has a giant wave pool area with tubes you can rent and there is another pool where you can do laps or jump off the diving board or there is a small shallow area for the little ones. It’s not anything big or new at all (it’s been around for quite some time now) but it’s cheap and the wave pool is always fun!
