Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
400 Beach Street,
Santa Cruz,
California 95060
We visit about once a year, and find it very fun for our 3 and 6 year olds. The wristband is your best bet, otherwise you end up paying for each ride, and that can get pricey. A little schetchy after dark, but a great, beach a boradwalk activity for the fam during the day!

Moonlight State Beach
400 B St,
Encinitas,
California
We LOVE Moonlight beach in encitetas!!! Free parking, bathrooms, volleyball, a playground, and the coolest feature, is the snack shack. One of the few left in San Diego!! A very family friendly area, cliffs on one side, long beach on the other. Best of all SD beaches have to offer!

San Diego Zoo Safari Park
15500 San Pasqual Valley Road,
Escondido,
California 92027
Our favorite thing to do on a weekend. The views you get of the animal is a native like habitat is unmatched! If you visit San Diego often, (more than 2 or 3 times a year), it is well worth enrolling your kids in the koala club, which give them free admission to both the Wild Animal Park, and The San Diego Zoo, and a monthly magazine as well! Dont miss all the trails off the beaten path here, really for "exploring".

San Diego Zoo
2920 Zoo Drive in Balboa Park,
San Diego,
California 92112
I have been to lots of Zoos, and there is NONE to compare to the San Diego Zoo!! The reptile house is huge, and very entertaining for kids and adults. The sky-fari, offers AWESOME views of San Diego Downtown and the harbor. If you visit San Deigo often, (more than 2 or 3 times a year) it is well worth signing your kids up for koloa club, which get them free admission and a monthly magazine, I think is about $25.
