"House of Blues Gospel Brunch"
If you're looking for a break from Disney activities or just looking for something to do on a Sunday morning the Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues is a great choice. From babies to grandparents this is recommended for the entire family. While the gospel singing is not as loud as a concert it can be loud for little ears if you are sitting in the front. The strollers and wheelchairs were lined up on the wall the Sunday we were there - it really is for all ages.

The brunch is two hours from 11-1. The first hour is dedicated to enjoying the different brunch selections and the second hour is for the gospel concert although the food was available during the entire show. There is no kid section of food but there is plenty for kids to choose from - macaroni and cheese, freshly sliced ham and roast beef, omelets, bacon, sausage, waffles and fresh fruit- and much more. There were also cookies and bars for dessert. All non-alcoholic drinks were included in the admission price. Adults: $38, Kids (3-9) $18.50 and under 3 free.

The gospel singers are all local area groups and we found this was an easy way to introduce the kids to gospel music. We really enjoyed it as a family. They also validated parking for 5 hours so we had time to browse the Downtown Disney shops.

Lodge At Torrey Pines in La Jolla | kids travel, kids activities
Lodge At Torrey Pines in La Jolla
11480 N Torrey Pines Rd,
La Jolla, California
"Rated Family-Friendly by Ciao Bambino"
Set in one of San Diego’s most beautiful areas, Torrey Pines is a destination in and of itself. The landscape is comprised of red cliffs and undeveloped canyons that drop into the Pacific Ocean. The Arts and Crafts style resort is a world famous golfer’s paradise, but it also has a top-notch spa and outstanding restaurant. Despite these adult-focused amenities, the resort goes out if its way to welcome families, particularly during summer months when they offer an array of kids activities. The décor is warm and cozy, and rooms are spacious. Although the location feels secluded and is a short drive from shops and restaurants, family-friendly San Diego attractions are easy to access.

Catamaran Resort and Spa | kids travel, kids activities
Catamaran Resort and Spa
3999 Mission Blvd,
San Diego, California
"Rated Family-Friendly by Ciao Bambino"
Just steps from the beach, the Catamaran Resort is in an excellent location for all ages. Guest rooms are simply decorated but comfortable. Suites are spacious and many rooms have nice water views. There are plenty of restaurants nearby for those that want to walk to meals and the hotel offers free tickets in the evenings on the Bahia Belle boat (cruises through Mission Bay). Pricing is value-oriented for the space, room amenities, and location. This hotel is close to Sea World.

Hotel Del Coronado | kids travel, kids activities
Hotel Del Coronado
1500 Orange Avenue,
Coronado, California
"Rated Family-Friendly by Ciao Bambino"
My kids were so psyched to hang out a the gorgeous beach at the Hotel Del Coronado. This luxurious hotel has beautiful rooms and ocean views. The town is cute and the overall area is perfect for walking and bike riding. The hotel has daily kids activities, offers surging lessons, and rents a variety of bikes including cruisers, tandems, and surreys. The restaurant is excellent and welcomes families. In the winter, part of the beachfront becomes an ice skating rink.
