About Me & My Family

We are a family of three from MA. Our almost 6 year old daughter has been our travel agent for several years now. Can you guess where she's picked 97% of the time? That's right...Disney! Twice a year since she turned 2. It may seem odd to have your child as your travel agent. However, when she gets older, she can't complain about NOT going to Disney. We will be going our LAST time in 2009 and then we will move on more educational travel. I was brought up going to Disney, I was sick of it by the time I was 8. Having to do it all over again with our daughter at least 10 times in her almost 6 years of life has me even more exhausted! Even with the new attractions!
Our Family's Travel Personality
pampered, relaxed, simple, independent, sophisticated, anxious, easy_going, scheduled, artsy
Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
It would have to be when we touched down at Orlando International and our daughter got sick over the hard landing. We all did, but, she threw up all over the place!

"Disney Princess Makeovers at Downtown Disney"
You do not need to use your pass to go to the Downtown Disney Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique...a BONUS!  Nor do you have to deal with the massive crowds at the other boutique locations...BIG BONUS!
The last time we took our Daughter to Disney, it was her birthday, and her cousin was also with us along with other family members.

For her birthday we decided to do something memorable for the girls.  They don't see each other often due to us living up in Massachusetts and they live in the FL Panhandle.  It was wonderful for both the girls, and the adults!  To see their delight when the "Fairy Godmothers in Training" were working on them was priceless!  The girls were 5 and 6 at the time.  Their eyes both went huge when the big "reveals" were made.

They got their hair (and they get to choose a style and the hair "extensions" that are like a ponytail holder) done, nails, make-up and special "fairy dusting" (glitter). The girls were able to keep their hair perfect, even after swimming and SLEEPING!  This year is our last year to go and this is what the girls want to do for their special time!  They do not want to swim with the Dolphins!

A few money, and timesaving tips I highly recommend:
Bring your Princess dresses/crowns that you may already have at home and pack them in your luggage for this special day!  You can save some cash and skip the "Castle Package" $189.95 and go with the "Crown" $54.95 or the "Coach" $49.95 (add tax to prices) package.
Call in advance to make your appointment!  We did, and they were ready for us at the exact time we had set up.
Send the boys outside to go see the Lego creations!
Get all your shopping done here, instead of the parks (unless you go to the “souvenir” shops) and bring all that “stuff” with you when you do visit the parks!  You won’t hear as much “Can I have” or “I want this” as you normally would!  We’ve done it both ways!
