Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch | kids travel, kids activities
Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch

Saint Louis, Missouri
"Hyatt (old Adams Mark hotel) St. Louis"
This is more of a business hotel. There is no pool or snack vending machine. The hotel has recently been remodeled so everything is modern and clean. The rooms are rather small and there is no place close to get an ice cream late in the evening. However, it is just blocks from Busch stadium and the arch. Be careful of the additional fee for parking. I think regular parking was $17 and valet parking was $25 and be prepared for lots of tipping. There are bell hops everywhere and they insist on taking your luggage. Nice hotel but not a family friendly hotel.

South Seas Island Resort | kids travel, kids activities
South Seas Island Resort

Captiva, Florida
"South Seas Resort at Captiva Island, Florida"
This place is amazing!! It truly is paradise and you get the feel of actually being on an island but with all the luxuries of an amazing resort. 4 mothers and our children have made a yearly tradition to go to South Seas. We fly into Fort Meyers and take a limo to the island (it's cheaper than renting 2 cars which aren't needed once you get to the island). We rent golf carts or take the trolley to get around the island. The resort takes up approximately 75% of the island. This resort is definetly a place for families or couples who want to get away from the tourist attractions. If your looking for a McDonald's or a place to "hook up" on the beach, South Seas is NOT the place to go.
