a good layout--circular area where you can keep an eye out for your kids at all times. Fun, interactive items (spray guns, buckets, trains, etc.), and a nice table/sitting area on the outer circle. Very affordable and great for a hot, humid Midwestern summer day (obviously!).

This was a wonderful place for kids and adults alike--there were plenty to do, including a petting/animal area, tractor rides, a maze, an inflatable play area, and my favorite part, the bakery/pumpkin area where the cider and doughnuts are good. Ample parking and not very crowded when we went.

The variety of pavilions, animals, activities are good. Located just outside Chicago, it's one of the better zoos I've been to. The only issue I had was the large distances that have to be covered - there seems to be one area where you cross an expansive plaza to get back to where you started. Bring good shoes!

I personally like this museum because of its size--two main floors with lots to do, but not so large that it's overwhelming. Water play, fun interactive things for the kids, good location in downtown area, with easy parking. Also areas for toddlers, plus good bathroom facilities (large and clean!).

I remember visiting as a kid and later on as an adult---fun for kids and adults of all ages. Memorable moments: tram tour with Jaws, E.T. bicycle demonstration, Back to the Future ride, Star Trek photo with the Next Generation Cast. Engage, numbah one.
