SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration | kids travel, kids activities
SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration

"Breathtaking Family Experience for Christmas"
We made a special trip just to see the annual Christmas Celebration!!

In addition to the regular shows and attractions, there is an entire Christmas village set up and special shows. The little kids love taking a trip on the Polar Express to see Santa. The older kids love seeing Shamu and the Winter Wonderland on Ice.

Adults and kids will love O Wondrous Night, the live nativity performed by singers, dancers, animals and puppets. The street performers and entertainers were an added bonus as you walked through the park.

Don't miss the Sea of Trees each night overlooking Bayside Stadium. The annual Christmas light and music spectacular lights up the lake. Grab some coffee and smores in the Christmas Village while you watch the show.

Sea World really knows how to celebrate Christmas and I love that it's included with your regular admission tickets.

"Beautiful show!!"
A beautiful ice skating show at Bayside Stadium during the Christmas holiday. Nightly shows are included in your regular admission tickets. Stay for the fireworks after the show. The holiday music, fireworks and sea of trees can be seen and heard from the Winter Wonderland on Ice.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Orlando at SeaWorld | kids travel, kids activities
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Orlando at SeaWorld
10100 International Drive,
Orlando, Florida
"Walk to Sea World!"
We love all things Hilton and the DoubleTree SeaWorld was just what we expected. The hotel is walking distance to SeaWorld and even has it's own shortcut to get to the park. This will save you some money on parking at the park. We love being in the tower so that you can overlook the park and catch the fireworks at night (if you have small kids you may end up leaving early). Hilton Honors members get the top 2 floors on the tower so be sure to ask for a park view.

Cookies!! Yes, the DoubleTree signature cookies are available for all guests upon check in.

The rooms are just what you expect from Hilton/DoubleTree. Very clean and spacious with plenty of room for the families luggage. There was just enough room for the kids to play after the day at the park.

If you stay at DoubleTree you'll even get some perks at the park like quick queue, skip to the front of the line! Check with the resort staff at check in to learn more about your Sea World benefits.

Nickelodeon Suites Resort | kids travel, kids activities
Nickelodeon Suites Resort
14500 Continental Gateway,
Orlando, Florida
"Nick Hotel - A destination in itself!"
If you are looking for a destination hotel, the Nickelodeon Suites is your place to go! The suite rooms have fun bunk beds for the kids in different themes to match their favorite Nickelodeon shows. We stayed in the Sponge Bob 2 bedroom suite and the kids we ecstatic to have their own space with bunk beds, TVs, and drawers just for them.

Mom and dad loved having our own room (with a door) so that we could unwind after our busy days.

The living area was just right. A sofa and chair to relax in, a dining area, and small kitchenette to cook quick meals.

The hotel pool was the main attraction with a fun kids play area, splash pad, and slides. The most fun part of the pool was the daily sliming! For those who stand under the slime zone, you'll be splashed with green colored water just like on the Nickelodeon TV shows. We went over the Fall/Winter when locals don't swim much, but the tourists were still swimming and getting slimed!

Outside of the pool area was the mall with even more fun! The older kid loved the Double Dare show. There were lots of choices of places to eat in the mall including sit down restaurants where you could eat with your favorite characters.
There was also a movie theater in the mall with popular kids movies playing all day.

If you plan on spending much time at the resort itself, it's worth it to get the upgraded packages that include the movie and special events.

A really fun place to stay and play; especially with kids!!

The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead | kids travel, kids activities
The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead

"Living it up in style!"
If you are looking for a place to live it up and be spoiled you must stay at the Ritz-Carlton in Buckhead. The location is perfect for you shoppers - with Lenox on one side and Phipps Plaza on the other! The rooms at the Ritz have everything you could ever imagine (and more); workout videos, books, fully stocked mini-bar, etc. I dare you to stay on the 9th floor and NOT book a day at the spa! The friendly staff at the spa know just how to get you to commit to making your stay a relaxing one. The spa facility is just what a busy mom needs to find peace and quiet for an hour (or three) and unwind after a day at the mall. Customer service is 5-star at the Ritz. I had a minor problem with the wifi connection in the the room (um, user error) and after fixing the problem they rewarded me with a special cheese platter for my problems; did I mention it was "user error" and NOT their problem? Seriously, wow!! Hands down, the best hotel I've stayed at in Atlanta.
