Lincoln Memorial

Washington,
District of Columbia
"Lincoln Memorial definitely worth visiting"
The Lincoln Memorial is an amazing exhibit. As you walk up the stairs to the Lincoln Memorial you immediately get a feel for the size of the memorial. The Lincoln Memorial is HUGE!! It is amazing just how large the memorial is. The view from the memorial is absolutely amazing!!! The memorial is very simple, but very powerful. Visiting the Lincoln Memorial is definitely worth while and something everyone should see and experience at least once. I would highly recommend visiting the memorial during daylight hours.

National World War II Memorial | kids travel, kids activities
National World War II Memorial

"National World War II Memorial"
The National World War II Memorial was very special and very touching. The memorial honors 16 million individuals that served in World War II. I personally think that everyone should visit the National World War II Memorial. I was especially touched to see Veterans and their family members at the Memorial searching for names on the wall. The National World War II Memorial is very touching. There are so many reasons to visit the National War Memorial, including the Field of Stars and the Freedom Wall. As you know, the memorial is outdoors. If you are planning to attend the memorial, I would highly recommend a nice sunny warm day.

National Air & Space Museum | kids travel, kids activities
National Air & Space Museum
6th & Independence SW,
Washington,
District of Columbia
"National Air & Space Museum"
The National Air & Space Museum was out of this world!! It was so amazing to see so many ancient planes hanging from the ceilings of the museum! My favorite part of the museum was the Human Space Flight and International Space exhibit. I loved it! The National Air & Space museum is really large and offers various activities for children and adults of all ages.

It is amazing how far we have come since the first Wright Brothers plane! Plan on spending at least several hours at the museum. Also, check the museums website for special events!

National Aquarium in Baltimore | kids travel, kids activities
National Aquarium in Baltimore
501 East Pratt Street,
Baltimore,
Maryland
"National Aquarium in Baltimore"
The National Aquarium in Baltimore is amazing! AMAZING! My family had a blast at the aquarium. The aquarium offers a large selection of fish and other water creatures. The Aquarium also offers reptile, bird and frog exhibits. The aquarium displays were extremely clean. The aquarium was a bit crowded, but it was managible.

If you plan on visiting the aquarium in the near future you must go to the 4-D immersion theater. The theater is really awesome and well worth the money! My family and I will definitely be going back to the aquarium.

National Zoo | kids travel, kids activities
National Zoo
3001 Connecticut Avenue NW,
Washington,
District of Columbia
"National Zoo"
The National Zoo was nice and very large. The park was neat and clean, but in need of updating. Several of the exhibits were closed or under constructions. Many of the exhibits appeared to be empty.

If you are planning to visit the National Zoo, be prepared to do a great deal of walking. There are quite a few hills within the park.

My family and I last visted the zoo in mid summer and it was quiet hot and quiet crowded. My favorite zoo exhibits were the panda & lion exhibits.
