Grandrabbit's Toy Shoppe
2525 Arapahoe,
Boulder,
Colorado 80302
Grandrabbit's is by far the best toy shop I've ever been to. It is a wonderland for kids; my girls could play there for hours if I let them! We've purchased several of our high-quality educational toys there, and always recommend it to people looking for the "perfect gift" for a child. We love the free egg hunt each year on the Saturday before Easter. The staff at Grandrabbit's is always knowledgeable and helpful. And the gift wrapping is always a great ending to our visit if we are there to purchase a gift for a little friend.

Pearl Street Stampede
Pearl Street walking mall,
Boulder,
Colorado
Every fall, our family loves going to Pearl Street on Friday nights before CU home football games. The Pearl Street Stampede features the CU marching band and the CU football players with a pep rally and parade down the mall. The music is so fun, you can't help but dance along and cheer on the Buffs! A must-do family activity if you live in or near Boulder!

CU Buffs Spring Scrimmage
Folsom Field,
Boulder,
Colorado
"Everybody loves Ralphie"
Our family enjoys going to the free spring scrimmage at Folsom Field each year. It's fun to get a taste of college football in the off season. All five of us get really excited about Ralphie, CU's buffalo mascot. The kids love "meeting" him before the game and watching him run around the field. We love riding our bikes to and from the scrimmage along the Boulder Creek Path. Check the CU Buffs website for info about this event each year and check it out!

Powell's Sweet Shoppe
1200 Pearl St. #110,
Boulder,
Colorado 80302
Our family loves Powell's Sweet Shoppe on the Pearl Street Mall. It's the perfect place to stop into during a stroll down the mall. We love the gelato, but there are hundreds of sweet treats to choose from. Powell's makes kids happy because it is candy wonderland, and it takes moms and dads down memory lane to see things like Razzles and candy cigarettes. It's a great place to take out-of-town visitors to as well. It adds a lovely bit of charm to downtown Boulder.

Scott Carpenter Park
1505 30th St.,
Boulder,
Colorado
"Year-round fun waiting to be had"
We love Scott Carpenter Park for its versatility and location. It's a perfect play area when we're out and about along 28th, 29th, or 30th Street. The spaceship is always fun for the kids to climb. The swings are huge and classic. We most recently discovered the skate park because of a skater friend's invitation. Our girls are 5, 3, and 1, and they LOVED riding their scooters and running around in the bowls at the far end of the park. We would recommend going early to avoid large numbers of "big kid" skaters. We had a great time, and now have one more thing to appreciate Scott Carpenter Park for!
