Katy Trail (bike path)
700 First Street,
Rocheport,
Missouri
"Bicycle riding at its finest"
The Katy trail is a railroad track that has been converted to a bike path. It stretches all across MO. We specifically did the stretch from Rocheport to Jefferson City on the 4th of July. Because it was a former railroad there are no steep grades and it is an easy bike ride with some beautiful scenery. We specifically like the rocheport area because of the train tunnel there. It is a beautiful place to go ride a bike. We brought our own bikes but you can rent them if you like. I have included some other information about the katy trail if you are interested.
The Katy Trail is a 225 mile (365 km) bike path stretching across most of the state of Missouri. Over half of it follows Lewis and Clark's path up the Missouri River, where you can ride beneath towering river bluffs while eagles circle overhead. After leaving the river, the trail meanders through peaceful farmland and small-town Americana.
America's longest "rails-to-trail" project, formerly the MKT rail line, is flat and scenic. It's ideal for hiking, running, or cycling on just about any kind of bike. Horseback riding is also allowed on a 25 mile section of the trail. Many cross-country cyclists include the Katy Trail in their tours. It is part of Adventure Cycling's Lewis & Clark route, as well as the American Discovery Trail.

Bridal Cave
526 Bridal Cave Rd.,
Camdenton,
Missouri
Its not one of those much-hyped cave tours, but its worthy. On your way to Osage Beach, you will find the direction to bridal cave. Its about half an hour drive from the freeway near Cadmenton. The surrounding is beautiful. You will see Lake Ozark in a nice surrounding. We had an enthusiastic tour guide who showed us different formations, shared the history of the cave etc. Entry fee is 15$ + Tax. Every half an hour you will get a tour. So, you dont need to wait for long. It lasts for around 1 hour. Friendly people around. You have to walk through the caves. The formations were amazing. After seeing mammoth cave, fantastic caverns...I can say its no less than either of the two. Must see !

Grand Country Inn (indoor water park)
1945 W 76 Country Blvd ,
Branson, Missouri
Over the summer we stayed at the Grand Country Inn for one day and night before a trip to Silver Dollar CIty. The outdoor water park was fun for our kids (ages 4 and 6) They had a blast on the water slides and shooting the water guns. The indoor park was built for kids a little older. There are 4 or 5 different little pools of stuff to do, but our kids were just a little to small to fully enjoy all there is to offer. All in all the kids enjoyed it but we wont go back for a few more years.

Ha Ha Tonka
1491 State Road D,
Camdenton,
Missouri 65020
We live in Lebanon, MO just about a 20 min drive from Camdenton and go to Ha Ha Tonka State Park all of the time. It is a wonderful place to walk around and explore. From the old burnt down castle to the hanging rock. It is a great place to walk around and look at all that nature in Missouri has to offer. Bring your walking shoes and a snack your legs are gonna get tired as you walk all around the park (especially the stairs...you'll see what I mean when you get there!)

Springfield Cardinals minor league baseball
955 E Trafficway St,
Springfield,
Missouri 65802
My family loves to go to baseball games in the summer. The Springfield Cardinals are the double-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. They are a fun team to watch. There is lots of stuff for the little ones, a playground, a hitting practice booth, and great food. Lots of fun for everyone.
