Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
hmmmmmmmmmmm... I'll go with this. One of my 3 year old twins being so overwhelmed by Disneyland during Thanksgiving week that we wound up having him, his twin and my 2 year old daaughter leave the park with Daddy by 3:15 taht afternoon. I felt so sad that they were missing out on so much potential fun times at the park. I stayed behind with our other 3 kids, my brother, SIL and other family friends. We will be sure to NEVER visit there during the holidays again.

"Be a pioneer for the day! "
My 6 year old & 5 year old son and 5 year old daughter loved visiting here the second week of July 2011.
My daughters favorite part of the day was getting to participate in the little school house class and dressing up in pioneer clothes like Laura wore. The 3 of my kids even put their noses to the chalkboard like the kids would have had to do during Laura's time if they were naughty ;) My boys thought driving the horses during a wagon ride was the best part. I must say that is awesome that they actually were allowed to do that! Spent 4+ hours walking around and exploring. Well worth the money.
Super Friendly staff!
My kids do love watching the Little House DVD's so they were very familiar with the family. I do not think children would need to have any prior knowledge of the Ingles family though to appreciate and enjoy this place.
Current prices are:
$10.00 each, ages 5 & older
Children under five free
Admission includes all activities & exhibits.

"well worth it - fun- stress free day "
I grew up going to Kiddie Land in Maywood IL & enjoyed taking my first 3 children there a few times as well. If you are familialr with it and miss it this will be your new love... just a bit of a drive ;) the size of the park is perfect for young kids-- not overwhelming. Admission is resonable and coupons are available--check webite.
The train ride is my twins favorite ride. I allow them to ride it over & over. It is a 15 minute ride across 3 miles of tracks. there are tunnels, crossings, scenery, water and plenty of animal sightings. not just farm animals either...zebras! Word to the wise... the caboose if fun for kids but could be crippling for adults whom try to wedge themselves in with little kids... yep- I've been in there a time or two.
It has many of the carnival rides you see at fairs, but they are much better maintained and you will not go broke buying tickets! There is never a long wait to get on any of the rides either which is whaThere is never a long wait to get on any of the rides either which makes it so nice for the kiddos and the parents who usually have to deal with whiney, unhappy kids waiting in long lines for 30 seconds on a ride.
The young children will absolutely love it!
There is a miniature golf course there as well.
The place is clean and extremely well maintained.
The food is priced like you would expect to pay at a fast food restaurant, they're not out to gouge you. We usually get cheseburgers and ice cream.

"fun but steer clear on Saturdays"
While visiting my brother we go here. My kids LOVED this place ages 2 through 6. It's super fun for my kids. I guess I could say parents can relax and watch their kids play but I seldom chill while I am there. WHen it gets crowded I like to keep an eye on my kiddos (just in case). I stay away on weekends! With all the birthday parties it can get ugly crowded. There is so much to choose from. Jungle gym, karaoke, arts and crafts. Bonus---They have some of the best food and the prices are good.
It is located in the back of the lot so you will not see the building from the street. Pay attention to the addresses and watch for their sign. It does not jump out at you... you will have to watch for it. Can you tell I missed it a few times and spent time up & down Hawthorn ;)

"works out that extra energy"
I feel like my kids are safe here. I do not loose track of them inside the play area. Bathrooms are located within the play area so no need to gather everyone up to take 1 kid potty!
Its a play area -tubes and climbing facility for kids. THey have an area just for 3 and under and then a huge area for bigger kids. Thursday's are 1/2 price. Homeschool days discouns available. They even do birthday parties. In the dead of winter this is the greatest place to be! Really works out that extra energy!

Monkey Joe's
286 E. Geneva Rd,
Wheaton,
Illinois 60187
I think that Monkey Joe's is great!! We realy like this place. Filled with wall-to- wall inflatables. Slides, jumpy houses, and obstacle courses tha keep my kids running, bouncing, laughing and having fun. I feel it is affordable-- especially if you do not have 6 kids like me. Adults are free and kid's prices vary by age. It can get pretty crowded, especially if the weather outside is bad or it's a weekend. Free wifi available.
Bathrooms were clean :)
I think that the staff there is great and are helpful.
I know there are other locations as well.
